This video killed me I met my stepfather at 11 years old and when I became 17 years old I became a birth father at that age I had children of my own and my father looks at them as his grandchildren now I’m 6 years away from 40 cause I’m 34 years old with grandchildren cause my son also had children with his girlfriend at 17 my father is still alive and is very happy cause I became a grandfather he even looks at my grandchildren as his great grandkids and I have 4 step brothers and 1 step sister but I’m close with 2 of my brothers I don’t even look at them as my step my older brother is 44 years old and never called me his step brother and I also call his wife my sister in law I’m pretty happy with my new family god bless everyone’s day❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

In the future, I'm either going to do foster to adopt here or adopt from Nigeria, as those are the more affordable options. I have have felt that calling since I was in high school🤷🏾♀️.

I'm in tears now as I say this just watching this video. I dated a special woman who was expecting at the time. When he was born I took him as my own. My son is now 21 years old. can't picture my life without him I love him and he loves me. I can watch videos like this all day touches me every time. WOW THIS JUST MADE ME CRY I am in the process of adopting a young man who asked me to be his father because he never had one and his mother died when he was about 7years old so he was just tossed around different places.

I have watched several dozens videos like this. Why can’t people see how much a child needs both parents. My mother died when I was 9. I miss her everyday, how I wish I could have had a step parent that helped fill that void. I’ve only met my other half of dna when I was 5 years old and I remember he gifted me some shoes and tried to take me to the movies and I looked at my step dad in shock because I didn’t trust that guy so I didn’t go but my whole life my step dad been there it’s even weird for me to call him that I call him dad always have and always will he even has photos holding me as a baby as young as 1 years old i have two more brothers and a sister I’m 22 years old but I think about this stuff a lot I cry sometimes but not because I’m sad about the other guy but I cry because I love my dad and it takes a real special person with a big heart to raise a boy into a man he’s taught me everything I know and I can’t be more grateful i don’t think my life would be same if he never stayed, I’m the oldest brother he stayed with my mom and raised me for 4 years like his own until my younger brother was born.. he didn’t have to do that and he didn’t have to stay with my mom and me and he didn’t have to accept me as his son but he did ❤️

Dad’s always been my best friend. Supported me through every single endeavour whether l’d fly or fall. Can’t imagine my life without him. It’s awesome to have a father figure like that always. It’s great to see a young man in the safe hands of such a loving family💯
OMG this has me just bawling. I know the feeling of this young man and I’m so happy for him that he will get his wish. My dad is also my stepdad and though he didn’t help raise me, as he married my mom when I was 26 years old, he has been everything my bio father never was and I love him so dearly!! I didn’t think of it when we were all younger but just before his 90th birthday I realized he was coming to the end of his life and there was nothing official that said he was my dad so for his birthday I asked him if he would adopt me. I was 59 at the time. He cried and said of course. He said he always loved me like one of his real daughters and e always felt my love for him as well. Sadly, my step siblings thought it was rather a strange request at this time in our lives and so my dad said he had to respect his kids feelings. I said I understood but it broke my heart. I wanted something on paper that said this wonderful man has been my dad and we love each other deeply as father and daughter. I’m so happy for this young man and his dad. Blended families can some times be challenging and when you find the ones with deep genuine love and respect, they are a precious gift. Congratulations dad and son!!!

If he really felt like and treated you as one of his own, he wouldn't have put "his kids" feelings first and denied your request, as that's something between you and him. Not them and not when hes a grown man, let alone 90 years old.
Not only to tell their father not to adopt you but not consider you were probably also grieving just as hard as them as you all knew his time was coming.

My real father died less than two months ago and I live with my stepdad and mom, I couldn't imagine my stepdads son telling him not to accept my adoption papers, I'd never be able to let that go i guess

A fine young gentleman and his father. The bit of sperm makes you not a father, the deeds do. Have raised the son of a drug addicted lady friend together with my sons. Long story, but when his mother got slowly off drugs she sent him to her family in Kenya. We lost contact. About ten years ago we met again by pure accident at a train station, he was a 20 years old handsome man. I didn't recognize him, but he did me, even I have become sick with a nervous disease with the result walking strange, having to use a walking stick, lost a lot of weight. This big man hugged me and called me Dad telling me what it means to him what I did for him, what I had never seen as something special. He was a kid of a friend in need, so he became part of my life and one of my extended family like my parents and my sons. We see from time to time and I am very proud what he made of himself. I feel not special at all, actually it was fun, this is why I am telling this. You do a little for someone and it may mean the world for someone else. And, my friend has gotten off the drugs, has married a very nice guy and lives a good life. There are sometimes Happy Ends. Not just in Disney Films. Excuse me for telling so much about it. All came back watching this video. You all live a happy and good life.
