Usually covers undermine the integrity of the original, but in this case you sing it with the respect it deserves and mange to render an absolutely beautiful interpretation that you make your own. This is one of the most underrated Beach Boys songs ever and I can't tell you how much I enjoyed that. Speechless. Hi Joe. 67-73 was when Carl was taking more of a hand I think. I agree with you. The albums in that period are in a league of their own. Spiritual and serving music and harmony. Kayla gets that. She is a treasure. I listened to BREAKAWAY a capella recently. So much work in that vocal track alone.

Generally speaking I hate stuff like this, but this is an intelligent and very well executed take on what is quite a complex song in many respects. And it demonstrates a good understanding of Carl’s voice which was so crucial to the band’s success. Well done!

I have 2 BB songs on iTunes that I got the rights for and a handful of original songs and I think I've made around $28 total. So far everyone talks of wanting to buy a BB cover album but as you can see the financial support is just not there. I would lose far too much, probably wouldn't break even. It's unfortunate :S

I know it's strictly tacky... but why not add "Hi" in the beginning? To me that's part of the song, not just on the Holland album. You'd have a good voice for it, too. What about just saying the word 'hi' somewhere else so that I can dub it in here? It'd be so CUTE!

@daveyuke8 Thanks. I would love to release a BB's cover album and was ready to do it until I looked into the cost of getting the rights/licenses to all the songs. I just can't afford to do it at this stage but you never know what the future holds! :D
