Hey Sheri, I have a tip to add and share for the laundry packing bag. At home we use liquid pods for our laundry soap. To pack them safely so that you don't risk them popping and making a mess all over everything, get one of those plastic travel soap boxes to put them in. It will hold 4 -6 pods and will protect them from being crushed and fit easily in your laundry bag. I will probably tuck a few dryer sheets in there too. That way when I do laundry on ship my clothes still have that homey scent I love.
I’m rewatching the Alaska videos for tips for next year’s cruise. I’m so thankful to you for the recommendation of cube packing. It’s been amazing! We used them for our trip to Chile and Peru. And we used them for the NCL Bliss. I’ve never been so organized. : )
Sheri - make sure you have something warm to wear for sail away time (will probably be chilly leaving from SF)!! And I am not a fashion expert - but I don't think you're teal blue Bluetooth beanie will match you're green jacket - but I have found that in Alaska - anything goes - I wore plaids & stripes (as long as they kept me warm)!! I'm so excited for you!! It's been quite rainy in Juneau this summer so far - you'll probably need you're waterproof outerwear (maybe pack a few rain ponchos too - my friends who just got back from Alaska got soaked a few times)!
I’m an over packer too. I generally try to pack one outfit per day and just one extra set “just in case”. But for Alaska, I imagine I’ll need to pack more, especially for more formal dinners.
Oh the plus side to not having a fast internet connection for nearly two weeks, catching up on your videos that I have missed over that time! Thanks for sharing! ❤️
Great job packing for 10 days. I've done several 10-day cruises and those 3 extra days make a huge difference in the luggage. Keep up the good work with your videos!
This is so helpful! We are (or suppose to lol) sailing on the miracle out of San Fransisco for an 11 day Alaskan cruise and I’m so nervous I’ll over pack. I always do on the Caribbean cruises 😬
Being an overpacker myself, I loved watching this video. I loved your long coat and boots. I need to invest in some before my Alaskan cruise next year.
Hi Sheri, I'm going to pack for my Alaskan cruise and I watch now all your movies about packing. Love it! Very informative, with the nice attitude and great suggestions about all stuff. Thank you!
Looks like you're just about ready to go! Great packing video! I'd still like to see it all in your suitcase. LOL Nah, I'm just giving you a hard time! Thanks for the smile and laughs, much needed down here in Southern Louisiana. New Orleans port is sheltering and aiding Galveston cruisers. Our thoughts and prayers are with all that are being affected. Hurricane season needs to be OVER! Thanks for spreading some sunshine as always! :0) Hugs!!!!
Agree on the waterproof layer! Went to AK on board the Emerald Princess on Aug 13, and unfortunately had a pretty wet visit in Ketchikan and Juneau. The waterproof jackets, over long sleeved shirts, were plenty warm enough. Also thankful I'd bought Merrell waterproof shoes, and that I'd bought a ball cap to keep my rain jacket's hood out of my face. Needless to say we overpacked, but it's easy to overpack when traveling from warm weather to potentially wet and colder weather in August.
I got a glimpse of your pretty silver shoes!!!!! I love them. Great outer gear. I have a Columbia titanium coat that I wear skiing. It is the warmest thing I own. Love the new dresses!!!!!!! Hope you guys have a great time!!
Great series on packing for Alaska! I'm going on my first cruise to Alaska in May 2023 and I was wondering how cold are the cruiseships at night or generally?
Thanks for sharing all your great ideas. I'm curious on what type of purse or day pack do you carry in port. I'm thinking you want something waterproof.
Aloha! We have our first Alaskan cruise this July. I’ve never tried speery duck boots but love the look of them. Are they comfy enough for all day walking?
They are but they may be a bit warm for that type of activity. They are good for times when you may be in damp/wet areas. Otherwise a nice walking shoe or sneaker is likely my choice. Aloha!!
I ordered the nude Nine West wedges!!!! I wear a size 5 so I have a hard time finding shoes in stores! I ordered these on amazon. They are really soft and feel really good on!!! Thanks for showing what you wear!!! I can't wait for the what I wore videos!!
No way! Do you love them? I find them more and more cozy each cruise. I don't wear them at home, they are getting packed for their third cruise soon here.
Hey! Loving your channel. So I've been in only one cruise and that was two years ago. It was the adventure of the seas by Royal Caribbean and I want to try a different one. Any recommendations on what dates + what cruise line is better for a 21yr old to take a trip with friends?
Hello CCTV!!! I may have just missed it, but what month did you cruise to Alaska? We will be cruising at the end of June so I am wondering if we will need to pack the same.
Hi I have a question about the pop up hamper do you put it as it is back in the Suki's or do you mean with the pop up hamper inside the suitcase or do you transfer all the dirty clothes into a plastic bag or a duffel bag
I love your packing vlogs. But I seriously think your son needs more shoes. I could never keep my son out of puddles. Two sometimes three pairs of sneakers a day. And we all know Alaska can be very wet. How do you manage?? Hope you have an awesome cruise. Stay safe
Do cruise ships supply enough hangers? Which Alaska cruise or you on? My family is leaving from SF on Grand Princess on Sept 5. Is that your cruise too?

You guys are going to be the best dressed family on the ship! Can't wait for the vlogs!
Soooooooo exciting as I’m packing for my Alaskan Cruise in 14 days now and watching at same time!
My husband would just look at me and say "just wear the same things twice-nobody will notice." Am I alone LOL ?
This is so helpful! We are (or suppose to lol) sailing on the miracle out of San Fransisco for an 11 day Alaskan cruise and I’m so nervous I’ll over pack. I always do on the Caribbean cruises 😬
I was making my Alaska Packing List when I saw this video pop up into my notifications! Yay! I don't have to think so hard now.
I came across your channel last night. I'm already addicted! I love all the videos I've seen so far!

Sheri Alaska can get cold even during the summer months so pack some warm coats and clothes for the trip
Great series on packing for Alaska! I'm going on my first cruise to Alaska in May 2023 and I was wondering how cold are the cruiseships at night or generally?
It varies quite a bit, but you'll see a lot of people in jeans and sweaters in the evenings. NEW Alaska video coming very soon!
Do you compress your clothes for when you leave the ship also? Have you done a video on compressing the clothes and what you use?
Mr CruiseTipsTV's Guess jacket is so beautiful!
Thanks for sharing all your great ideas. I'm curious on what type of purse or day pack do you carry in port. I'm thinking you want something waterproof.

+Carla B yes count on about 10-15 on grand! You may need extras
I heard you say your going to iron onboard, how do you accomplish that?
On some cruise lines they have self serve laundry rooms with irons and ironing boards.
Oh wow so much Stuff. When i go away I pack so little and do you know what it works for us
Which cruise line are you going to Alaska with? Sorry if you have already stated this but I can't seem to find it
+Jesse Brady princess
How do you have your clothes dried when you wash them in the room?
We hang them
On the line in the shower
Haha, us unrepentant overpackers need to stick together. I’m bad for overpacking and I know it; but I can’t stop myself doing the “what if’s”.
