Thanks for watching! Would you like me to film more tutorials in the future? It wasn't something I had in mind for this channel, but would be happy to make tutorials every now and then if people want to watch them. Let me know!

Absolutely. Like see your approach and technique for trimming tails, inside ears, hair behind top of nose, area to the outside of eyes and eye brows. Thanks 🙏

You made me cry when you said about most owners not noticing! I'm lucky to have lovely clients who say don't worry and they didn't even notice. I'm so relieved that you also said you were rubbish and that it would come I time xx

This is such a helpful video, thank you! I’ve only been grooming a few months and feel so nervous with every dog I groom! Going to keep rewatching this video :)

Really great job on the face. She came out looking like a whole new dog. They don't all like being groomed, but even my cavaliers seem to be happier after a fresh groom. Really helpful video!

Thank you so much! Gizzy always has such a huge transformation when she comes in, just need to wait for the hair to grow back on her leg after an op so she can be her usual glamorous self.

This video saved me! I was so behind (I work corp) because the faces would take me forever and I'd do nothing but jump around. I followed your tutorial and now I can get a face done in like 20 mins which is really good for me when I used to take 30/35 min because I didn't know wtf I was doing. Thank you so much for posting this video❤️ All my clients have really been happy with my faces lately and it feels good!

Loved watching this. I’m an apprentice groomer, just starting to trim up faces, legs etc so this was great. Would love to see more! 😊

Thank you! I'm actually filming an all off Shih Tzu face tomorrow so I'll have that up over the weekend, and I've had a few requests for tidy Spaniel feet so just waiting for one of my Spaniels to come in next week. 😊

This is the first time I like cockapoo groom. Usually groomers make their faces so ugly but you made it look so cute

Hi, great video thankyou. Could you give me a little advice on getting my 4mth old cockerpoo pup used to having his chin hairs held please? I comb her everyday and she really good, but will only tolerate her chin being held for 5 seconds lol. It's it all treat based? Thankyou

Yep it's just all repetition and rewarding the wanted behaviour, just like with any training. 😊

What number clipper did you use?

    • @TheDogGroomingNerd
      @TheDogGroomingNerd  3 года назад

That would've been a 4 / peach / 13mm comb attachment on the head, then most likely a length shorter on the body.

The one in the video is a peach Wahl comb attachment, which is 14mm.

I wanted to study dog grooming but the school was too far. :(

Oh that sucks! There might be some private salons offering training, have you asked around at all?

@@TheDogGroomingNerd I did talk to a groomer at a local pet shop with a grooming station. I think a specific diploma is required where I live. Its all good though, I'm focusing on designs and my writing now.

It's very difficult to see what you're doing at the beginning. You start on the side of the head that is not on camera and when you get to the side that is facing the camera your arm is in the way. Sorry, but I'm out.
