I had Dinner with Lieutenant General William Fox in Fillmore, Ca decades ago. Many years later, I was having lunch at the 94th Aero squadron restaurant in Van Nuys when I saw him enter with a walker. By then he was very frail, small & old. I exclaimed “Look, it’s General Fox!” but no one else gave him any notice.
I am sure that he took the autopilot off regularly to make sure that the autopilot wasn't compensating for a out of trim. The auto pilot will hide control problems until it can't compensate anymore and disconnects. Leaving a uncontrollable airplane. Better to hand fly. A Aero-Commander was in that same area and penciled due to ice and a "malfunctioning" autopilot.
Jerry, on the circle it looked like you were pretty tight laterally on downwind for the wind from the right and maybe a bit flat turning to base. Maybe camera angle but the terrain there looked close. Circling approaches weren’t my favorites even at familiar airports.🙂
Hi Jerry - great flight - nice landing. One suggestion, I know you are doing it silently, but it would make me more comfortable if you would call out "positive rate" before retracting the gear after take-off. Thanks for the video.
@@Jerry.Wagner I like the myth better……….missed is more correct but not as funny…. We are not watching an instruction video after all………….!!!!!!! Happy flying Jerry…
the windows are insulated to keep the cold out and the heat in so the exterior of the windows do not heat up enough to melt the ice UNLESS you turn on the defroster high but with a heated windshield on the pilot side it is a non issue unless the co-pilot is flying
Greetz from Belgium , its always fun watchin' you videos. Fly safe Jerry
Ice, bumps and all, more than a day’s work. Thanks again, Jerry!

Another great flight Jerry many thanks for sharing cheers
What a flight! Rough air, head and crosswinds, ice, IMC, all in one!
A ride along with Jerry always makes for a good day. Thanks for the videos.
Very cool. Mr Wagner you are a smooth pilot. Thanks for pointing out the info on the instruments during the flight for a non ifr rated sel!

Nice seeing the ice sliding off.
That was a cloudy sky with passageways.

this is my home airport, I kinda know the terrain and pattern, did you notice I did NOT fly thru the extended centerline

@@Jerry.Wagner ahh now i see it. looked right past it thought that was AOA for some reason
@@yehuda.r Co-Pilot still has REAL Instruments!
Every instrument approach is a myth until you see the runway. Now that is very true, a wonderful quip.
it's actually a "Missed" it might have sounded like a Myth when I said it though

As always,a nice one Jerry!
you blew right by me the other day around the Concord area in my Red White and Blue Bonanza
How come the heated cabin doesn't melt the windscreen ice Jerry?
