Modern art is a game for lesser people at the bottom of the heap to use their lack of talent, drive, creativity, and purpose as the sole justification as to why they should be now at the top of the heap. It's postmodern nonsense with heavy doses of Marxist thought sprinkled upon it. The drug addict, the outsider, the misfit, and the reject are the individuals meant to show the majority why they're wrong and guide them towards the degenerate tastes they "should be consuming." Nietzsche called this the transvaluation of all values, you invert common sense and the people of note, those worthy of creating great art are disparaged and pushed aside so charlatans can posture up as the pretentious vanguard of bohemian and proper progressive thought and push an agenda using "art." There is no substance here, just fucked in degenerate outsiders whose soul reason for fame is they were born into an era that values their lack of worth. The Kali Yuga as it's known. Go look at Caravaggio, great art is made by great men to represent an ideal state of what man can achieve and become, as in the majority dictates purpose, not some fucked up face tattoo heroin addicts who hate beauty with all their being and attempt to subvert it every waking moment of their lives. Check out "why beauty matters" by roger scruton if you want to be blown away by the philosophy of beauty and why art is no longer art, it's a great documentary on Vimeo and most likely on RUclips. I think that's your answer yo why all of this bothers you.
