    What I find useful about you is how structured your videos are. Few asides, very little fat, straight to the point and in order. I wouldn't want EVERY content creator to be like you, but you do your job well.

      Thanks, I'm very glad to hear that since it's something I aim for. I don't mind the occasional aside, but I don't like padding. I want these videos to be as accessible as possible, and help people get to the facts as directly as possible.

    This video is very enlightening, when it comes to citations (scholarly)and academic research. Excellent essay sir.

    or alternatively, go the Ayn Rand fan route and just latch on to some idea that appeals to you, find a few hack RUclips videos that say the same thing and declare it to be true objectively because it's just 'common sense'.

      It's also a lot easier than actual research.

      Ayn Rand was a Soviet Spy. You are literally describing a successful Soviet information sabotage campaign.

    Thanks. I'm glad this is here. Much of it was drummed into my head at an early age, but having good explanations all in one place is brilliant. I've often wished for an explainer like this to aim people at.

      This is why information literacy should be taught in high school.

      @@veritasetcaritas I mean you're absolutely right, but my school was shite - there were a lot of things they should've taught but didn't! I only got to uni because I did an access course as an adult and they sure as hell didn't teach it there!

    On the topic of literature could you examine Zoomer Historians take on the nazi book burnings please. I found that video to be uniquely egregious. Love the content.

      Thank you! He is on my list of channels to critique in future, and I fully intend to cite his video on the book burnings, as well as Kristallnacht.

    Just a question here, being published and distributed by Oxford Press makes an article on average of high quality?

    • @veritasetcaritas
      @veritasetcaritas  5 месяцев назад +2

      Generally speaking, yes. As a general rule academic presses produce articles of higher quality, though this doesn't guarantee quality or accuracy. That's why peer review is important.
