loved seeing this - not just for nostalgia, but for a reminder on how far the Wolfquest devs have come. They've made such an amazing game that in 2023 it's hard to remember what legacy looked like.
My mate drowned my pup in 2.7 by bringing him to me when he was low health and carried him through the river, he was a killer. Mates in classic/legacy are not useless. They are heartless 😭
I used to play this all the time back in middle school (I'm 20, I know, old.), always online. I had a wolf with like 400,000 experience, I think? I played a lot with the same people because we were always on the same servers. I remember taking down a bull moose with them. Good times.

your mate's file was deleted due to an error, and you had a null litter due to the lack of a second parent (so the gane didn't know what to do) 😭 it's also the reason he just appeared blank, and why you couldnt save n the quest kept restarting. so weirdly eerie how the game knew something was wrong but couldnt pinpoint it
Late but yeah. It's almost like the games way of making the wolves have a miscarriage, and the game not knowing what to do is the wolves not knowing how to respond to the death. Obviously it's a glitch, but if one wanted to make it 'part of the story' that's a thought that could be put into it.
Does anyone remember that glitch where if you like paused and checked your stats right when the defeated wolf was running away you could just watch your XP fucking skyrocket? That’s how I got the secret den like every time lol EDIT lmaooo never mind u literally did it in the video I should’ve waited I love that we all abused the system

Nobody talks enough about how much of a menace the eagles are in this version of the game. They’ll literally steal pups directly from your mouth.
The mates in the legacy version were so useless, they didnt help at all but sure did stuff even more complicated sometimes
