- Round 2 of Black Crown Initiate at The Windmill is no slack compared to the first. It's an Invitation to aggressive confusion and riffage. Nothing the corpses don't love. Enjoy!

MASTERPIECE, let me just say that off the bat. This album floored me and trancended me to another dimension. Purely a work of art.
Haven't hear all of it but yes! /Andrei
Fuck yeah, glad you guys checked this track out. I love the whole album, but this song kickstarts my playlist and it never fails to get me hyped. Even after 100+ listens.
If you liked this solo, you should check out the one on Holy Silence from this same album. Absolutely bonkers good as well.
What’s even more amazing about this album - that drummer isn’t even officially a part of the band. He was just a session drummer, although if memory serves he’s played in other bands before.
He does sound like someone who would have previous band experience, but it's cool to know he wasn't even a band member. He absolutely SLAYED! Thanks for the suggestion. /Andrei
YES! 😁
awesomeness!!! 🤘
Agree!
I'm back! 3 weeks of reactions to see! And what a great beginning! Love every second of this masterpiece! On my playlist RIGHT NOW! 🤘
Yo you're seriously gonna go through 3 weeks worth of US??? We don't deserve you! Thank you! /Andrei
@@thewindmillfullovcorpses 😅 took me 2 days but yes I saw everything I missed! I discovered a lot of songs and bands on your channel and don't want to miss one 😁
Great reaction video like always. Black crown initiate is such a great band !!! ❤️ 🤘 🇫🇷
Thanks for the info on the Fallen. We even forgot about your versions or maybe already had this one recorded when you suggested them. It's just so many suggestions to keep track of, maybe we get back to them at some point... but everyone's hyping up this "being cheered in the arena" atmosphere, makes me think we were a bit besides the point. /Andrei
Geez I almost jumped out of my seat when the heavy part began hahaha!🤣 won’t complain though, it was awesome!!🤘
I know this band is on my list to listen to and I haven’t had the time to get to them… might push them higher on the list after that😛
Awesome review as always guys!!
Darnit, I jumped as well! They have such a way of catching you off guard cos the clean parts are so chill and atmospheric and you get so immersed before the WHACK comes and WHACKS you over the head!! Thanks so much for watching and ejoy your ever-growing to-listen list!! /Andrei
I'd like to point out that James Dorton, lead vocals, was also in the DOOM Heavy Metal Choir. KAR EN TUK! That is all, headbang on.
Woooow that's so cool! Thanks so much for this epic fact! /Andrei
😮🤘🤘🤘
Yes!
Binged your guys' reactions and couldnt help but suggest Signs of the swarm - Final Phase (ft Dickie Allen). It has about the same impact as The Catacombs
Writing it down, can't promise we'll do it. We recorded the new one from Signs though... Death Whistle... /Andrei
This was a really cool track ultimately. I'm glad I did it with your reactions because the fairly offbeat and lengthy open might have had me tune out outside of the album context, but the mid, solos and ending were on fire. Very much a grower of a track.
Personally get more of a blackened progressive take on modern Whitechapel and Disentomb style sounds from my end, also reminds me a bit of the black/crust/death act Iskra, especially their track Predator Drone MQ-1, not so much the main sound (Iskra are a lot more black metal than this) but the incredibly complex and warped and throbbing ending did recall that very much for me. I hear where someone else might come at it from an Opeth angle but to me it's only 'because both bands are complex progressive death metal acts with clean singing bits' that's about the only place I see the comparison. Also yes these guys are better *gets death stares from the Opeth massive*.
We shall relish in the death-stares together... and not give a S**T. You sure know your way around a dimension of death metal that we're not very familiar with. Only heard a bit of Whitechapel and never tried the other ones you're mentioning. /Andrei
This whole album flows like a concept.
React to holy silence in the same album 🤘😤
This album is what Opeth could and should have made. All albums after Watershed are crap. Also: The drums on this album were programmed.
