this piece was a letter to my younger self.
so much goes on in our lives that no one really knows. it can be confusing and at times you may feel like you are going crazy being alone. this piece was a battle of wanting to be by yourself, while trying to fight the loneliness. not wanting others to see what you are going through but at the same time, struggling inside. strength doesn’t come from keeping everything in, but rather being able to breakthrough the ‘big white room’ (being your mind) and leaving your past self behind but never forgetting her.
to younger me. know that life doesn’t get easier, but you just get stronger through love, kindness, connection, and light.

This is not the first time--and I'm sure it won't be the last--that a Kaycee Rice performance has brought me to tears. When she dances, it's like she's speaking poetry. And you can just see her, feel her, connecting with the music on a spiritual level. Much applause, Kaycee. Keep doing what you're doing, and bringing beauty to the world.

Some would say words do not cut what this dance made me feel but even to say that is not enough. You will quite frankly never be able to understand how much you have impacted my life Kaycee. I would have gone a completely different direction if I had never come across you. I would have given up on my dreams of becoming a dancer/ choreographer just like you. I am only 15 but I believe I can make it in this world because of people like you ❤ I am so grateful for everything you have done because I know I will always have people like you to inspire and push me to be the best I can be in this lifetime
its ben a year or more since I last looked in and you knocked it out of the park again. this was a roller coaster of happy/sad the feels were all over the place. you rock kaycee!

Literally a few tears started streaming down my cheeks after watching this and I am smiling so wide. The growth (both personal and dance wise) you have shown these past few years is phenomenal. In a sea of diamonds, you really do just shine that bit brighter than everyone else. I don’t know how you always do it, but you show your soul through your movement so clearly. We are all so proud of what you have accomplished and this is another fabulous piece, and one of my new favorites. Also how can you dance so damn well and be so flexible in jeans😆?? 💕💕💕

You are one of my favorite dancers and this was my most favorite of all of your performances that I have seen. I am not a dancer, but I have always loved this artform as I took many classes as a kid. I first became enamored with your performances with Sean Lew on World of Dance. Since then, I have witnessed on RUclips the evolution and blossoming of your spirit, of your consciousness, and your art.
I am not a dancer, though I wanted to be as a young man; but my love of dance has never left me. What I am is a 48 year old gay man who has grown through hard times and have been through some very serious sh*t that could have destroyed me if I let it. What I am now is a happily married man that is an artist, a metalsmith, and a hairstylist, who, in the years to come, will evolve into something more or something new as I choose to be. Despite what I have been, despite what I am or will be, you inspire me and you make me feel and experience what you are interpreting through your dance. You ARE and have an amazing gift and talent and I feel privileged to be present for what you share with us.
Never stop unless it serves you or a greater purpose, always strive to continue to grow and learn new things...always continue to evolve. Be authentic and true to yourself in all that you do, because you ARE amazing as an artist and exactly as the being your are now, and you are BEAUTIFUL. Though flawed like every other person who travels through time on this earth; acceptance and love will continue to guide you as you grow. Remember that you ARE treasured and loved, that you are not alone, that there are others like you, that identify with you, that appreciate you, and that you are needed as you ARE and WILL BE through all the iterations of you.
