  • So what are the best boots for enduro... There is a huge choice of dirtbike, mx and enduro boots and finding the right boot is tough but really important. not only does the right boot come down the the fit, comfort and style, its really important to factor in safety, durability and function when choosing right offroad boot for you.
    So I go into the amiable enduro boots on the marketing such as Alpinestars, Fox, Leatt offroad boots, Sidi and Gaerne boots. They all offer different things to whether you are a motocross rider, or whether you just like to shred dirt bikes or whether you are a hard enduro rider.
    I talk about my experience with Alpinestars Tech 7's and also the experience of some of my friends that ride Alpinestars Tech 3's and Alpinestars Tech 10's. I thought they were a great boot but they didn't match up to my new boot that has stood the test of hard and extreme enduro madness.
    I also reference the Least 5.5 boots and the Gaerne boots that Graham Jarvis wears. I also talk about Sidi that Billy Bolt rides.
    The boot that I believe is the best boots for enduro is the Sidi Crossfire 3 SRS (sole replacement system). My experience to date makes these the best enduro boot for sure. They are so comfortable and have some incredible features that are specifically designed to be great for hard enduro and extreme enduro.
    The Sidi Crossfirs 3 SRS has so many parts of the boot that are interchangeable and the fact that you can take out the motocross sole and replace it with an enduro specific sole is important.

    I've had the same set if sidi cross fire 3 rsr boots since I started riding enduro, and I'm riding all the time. Still a great pair of boots! I agree with you mate! So glad the gang has transitioned over!

      Yeah I need to try me some of these RSR’s they much be ultra pro model?
      In all seriousness, yeah that’s a testament to the durability of the Sidi’s that you’ve had them that long and you definitely put them through their paces 🤘🏼

    Great video mate! I have been wearing Leatt for the past year now and have never really been too happy with them, clips break pretty easily and the soles aren't great! After riding with you lot for the past few month's and seeing that you all have no issues with the Sidi boots, I think it will be time for me to purchase a pair in the not to distant future 😎

      Cheers bro! Yeah I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. 🤘🏼
      Interesting that you have had issues with the Leatt too.

    This is a great video and totally agree on the choice to go Sidi. I have always ridden in Sidi boots and love them.

    Currently on Tech 7’s aquastars, same problem as yours - used Tiger Seal to bodge them back together plus had to bolt the rear heel to the boot! Used every week for over two years. Going Sidi crossfire 3 next as I borrowed my nephews, feel a lot better!!

      @EnduroTravelR  Год назад +1

      Yeah man sounds like a very similar boot journey! I recon you’ll love the Sidi’s for sure!! 🤘🏼
      Just can’t believe how many people have the same issues with the Alpinestars

    That was hilarious!😂 Those were the most destroyed Tech 7s Ive ever seen lol. Talk about being rough on boots!

    Good video 👌 I was tech 7s but then went leatt 4.5 and very nice boot and for a great price. Sidis do look good also

      Ah Alpinestar to Leatt isn’t a move I have seen anyone else do. I always felt like they are very similar in the design and build of them. Are you getting good use out of them?
      I can’t rate Sidi’s highly enough.

      @@EnduroTravelR I had them for less than 10 weeks and some slight stitching came out, nothing major and leatt replaced them no questions after I contacted the supplier.
      The supplier tells me they had a we flaw and leatt care about the rider and their products.
      I am getting good use but still recovering from broken collar bone, so not as much as I would like.
      I would put them above the teck 7 for comfy ness 👌

      @highlandendurorider6519 ah wow that’s good service to be fair! I love Leatt gear in all other areas. 🤘🏼

    My teck 7’s are 4 years old now.Sill like new and are super comfortable.Down side is they don’t really have a lot of feeling for the rear break.I think they are made in Asia now it’s a bit of a lottery on build quality.

    • @EnduroTravelR
      @EnduroTravelR  Год назад +1

      Ah that’s really interesting. I have a few mates like at least 3 that have had the exact same experience I had with but falling off and falling apart etc.
      I am genuinely shocked you have got a pair to last that long.
      Your probably right though, maybe we ended up with the more recent ones.
      Would have got my first park about 3n half years ago though…

    Just to add to the leatt 5.5 boots I said I wouldn’t buy them again and that is partly because of the soles falling apart and like I said I’ve re soles them once already. I snapped a strap/clip off and found out it was not a replacement part luckily spoke to leatt(Apico) at a motocross show and they hooked me up with some replacement parts. This was pure luck though so keep in mind if you did ever go to leatt boots apart from that Solid boots very comfortable don’t need much to wear in. Have had them for a year now.

    • @EnduroTravelR
      @EnduroTravelR  Год назад +2

      That’s definitely worth knowing and could have rendered your boots not usable with one stupid but breaking 🙈

  • @Reverendwattsy
    @Reverendwattsy Год назад +1

    I agree on the sidi boots, my alpinestars fell apart within 18months, I think the Astars are great fit motocross but no good for hard enduro sidi all the way

  • @tjpighin

    For hard enduro, I have really not been impressed with the sidi srs boots. Getting parts has been nearly impossible and the screws for replacing said parts dig into the bike wearing out the plastics pre maturly and even wearing through my rear break reservoir, forcing me to replace it and the cap.
    Another issue I have had riding hard enduro with these boots is traction. It is fine for walking and riding but any time I'm on rocky terrain, the boots cause me to crash because on the corners of the boot, they used a hard plastic giving zero grip especially when you need it most. These are the first set of boots I will not be wearing out as I will be selling them

      Ohh wow, that is such interesting feedback. Me and most my boys wear Sidi and to be honest have not had any of these problems. The more time I spend riding the more I really think it comes down to person riding style and what your looking for in a boot. Have had lots of mixed reviews about different brands and boots etc.
      Definitely appreciate the feedback though as always good to get different perspectives 🤘🏼

    Sidi srs for me with the enduro sole. Bought them 3rd hand and still going strong a year later with riding most weekends. Would recommend them anyway. Alpinestar tech 3 and tech 7 are a no from me.

      @EnduroTravelR  Год назад +1

      Great choice there sir. I couldn’t ever imagine the Alpinestars lasting 2nd or 3rd hand. I couldn’t even get them to last for me from brand new. 🤘🏼

    Sidi's are the best. As they say, Sidi's fit like a glove, everything else fits like mittens.

    • @EnduroTravelR
      @EnduroTravelR  Год назад +1

      Since 2006 damn that’s good going. Must have been a different breed back in them days. Got quite a few friends that experienced what I have with theirs.
      I wanted to like the Alpinestars so much, but they just didn’t serve me well.

    Man I went nuts on boots, because i broke my toe i have a hard time finding the right boot. That said I have a couple pair. My Tech 7’s & Sidi Adventure are quire comfy and what i wear on the 1290 SA-R. My Fox boots are really just for the track.
    I have been eyeballing the boots you have plus the “G” boots. That way i can sell or give away a couple pair.

    • @EnduroTravelR
      @EnduroTravelR  Год назад +1

      Ah yeah, that’s really interesting, you’ve definitely had a lot of different brands and I know what you mean when you say some are track only. You definitely have to get the right pair for what you want to ride etc.
      I can’t recommend these boots enough. They are so good. I’d be interested to hear what you end up doing and what you think.

    The Sidis have a narrower toebox compared to the gaerne.

    • @EnduroTravelR
      @EnduroTravelR  Год назад +1

      Ah that’s interesting to know, although I have heard a lot of people saying about the Sidi’s being narrow. I have seriously fat feet and not had any problems…

      @stevearrowood7430 Год назад +1

      Yep, used Sidi my entire mtb career but the moto boot was just too narrow so the salesman took $50 off the Gaerne SG12's for me. Also a superb boot for enduro/ hare scrambles.

      @stevearrowood7430 that’s good to know. It’s so weird I havnt noticed the narrow toes on the Sidi’s at all. Keen to check out the Gaerne now

    Sidis are so uncomfortable it’s unreal, I don’t have wide feet either, respect your opinion but they are a try before you buy fit

    • @EnduroTravelR

      That’s really interesting to hear. I found these boots incredibly comfortable straight out the box. Suppose it always comes down to personal preference and fit. 🤘🏼
