That was a stairway to heaven! I've sweated for you and felt cold for you and I have loved the epic adventure. Thanks for taking me along with you! Brava!🤩
Hi, new to your channel and loving it. I’m actually watching your Camino journey right now, so good. I also checked out your photography , your so gifted!! Some day I hope to do the Camino. Safe and Happy trails,
Loved it all so much! Wow what an epic day, now I see why you waited on those ladders! Whoa! Good for you, that was awesome! Congrats on another adventure experienced!
I am so in awe of you!!. I watched your videos on the Camino whilst I walked it with my husband in 2018. I don't think I could do the ladders I have a real fear of heights that only seems to be getting worse as I get older. Well done you should be so proud of yourself.
Karen, thank you so much for the kind words. Buen Camino! I think you absolutely could do the ladders! You look up not down and go at a nice slow pace.
What an incredible hike through three countries! The scenery was spectacular. I have traveled to Europe and saw Mont Blanc when lucky enough to ski in Switzerland. Thank you for your wonderful videos 🏔❤
Hi Jeanee.. I just watched your TMB series back to back. Loved it! You really enjoyed every moment of it and so did I thru your lens 😊 I would really like to do it in 2025 but I’m not sure about the dorms in the refugios. I noticed you stayed mostly in hotels and I think that would be a great option. I guess it requires a few buses to get to certain villas and then back on the trail. I would really appreciate it if you could give me the details as to which hotels you stayed at and if you needed special transportation to get there. At 63, I don’t mind taking my time and extending my TMB if needed. Maybe a video on the subject? Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Thank you so much! I used a company called Macs Adventures. They did all of the reservations of the chalets and hotels. They also forwarded my carryon bag to the next stop for me. Some meals were paid in advance. This to me, was the best way to go. Check them out. ❤️
Did this in 2012. And I'm somewhat acrophobic. The Ladders were my greatest (pre)anxiety of the whole trip. Once There: My friend K__n said to me: "St__t: I'M not goin' up there until I'm CERTAIN YOU'll be OK with it, after me !" [Yes: He was a Fitness Trainer] Lit a Fire. I Grabbed the Rungs, and just DID it. Not looking/thinking Down; Just Looked UP, grabbed the ladder and uttered: "ONE, TWO, THREE ...etc" as I ascended. The FIRST pitch is the ONLY "anxious" one; Once those 40-60 seconds are over, it's just a series of rock-face inward-INCLINED stepladders and hand-rails, with far less "exposure". AND: There is a (longer) Detour trail to the same point, so you can "pass" on the Ladders :) Then: More (strenuous/uphill) trail hiking up to Lac Blanc....but WELL Worth It !!
We went with a company called Macs Adventures. We did not go with a guided tour but this company reserved our hotels and chalets along the way and we had our carryon suitcases forwarded. Some meals were included in this package.
@@alaskanpilgrim2099 Did you like their package and setup? I have already been in contact with them. Was language a barrier for you? I only speak English.
Hi Tanya, congratulations! I’m excited for you. I can’t remember every stage. But know there are apps that tell you of the water supply options on every leg of it.
Thank you for sharing. I'm doing this hike in July 2023 and I'm sort of afraid of heights! This is so helpful to watch and mentally prepare.
Forrjuli180, thank you! Best of luck on your epic journey! You will be just fine. Look up and take slow careful steps. Enjoy the journey!!

Wow! What an amazing journey. I must admit the ladders would have given me some anxiety. Thank for sharing this wonderful adventure with us.
Angela, thank you for watching and for joining me on the journey.

You're so welcome! Thanks for taking time to watch them.
Thanks for your video.
Going to do this soon. We are stating Aug 2023.. im anxious in this part but looks like i can do it. Im somehow afraid of ht.
Thank you so much! You can do it! And you will just love it all!!
one handed laddering. SO TOUGH 🙂 edit, just saw 6:40 But i still applaud you.
Wow! What a climax!
Ian, that is the truth!
Watched this last night. Going with six family members this August. Can you tell me about the gloves you wore to climb the ladders?
I’m so excited for you! These are compression gloves and prevent swelling. I got them at a medical supply place.
Did you hike the TMB on a guided or unguided tour? Did that work well for you?
We went with a company called Macs Adventures. We did not go with a guided tour but this company reserved our hotels and chalets along the way and we had our carryon suitcases forwarded. Some meals were included in this package.

@11LakePointCourt I did. They are a wonderful company. Language was not a problem. I hope you go and enjoy every step of the way.
@@alaskanpilgrim2099 Thank you!
You’re so welcome.
I‘m planning my TMB for July 2024, which sections on your trk had limited water on? Your advise will be greatly appreciated. 😁🥾♥️
Hi Tanya, congratulations! I’m excited for you. I can’t remember every stage. But know there are apps that tell you of the water supply options on every leg of it.
Incredible! How did u film this.
Thanks Linda, it was on my phone.
What part of the TMB did you find to be the best, eastern or western?
To me it was all the same magnificent view!
How on earth did you film this ?!
I put my phone on a stick and put the stick in a strap on my hand so I could hold onto the rail with both hands.
Didn’t anyone slip? Her hurt?
No, there were some people that came down, changing their minds, and some people that took an alternate route.
Next will be K2 in Pakistan 🇵🇰 or Everest in Nepal 🇳🇵
Shabir! That would be awesome!
