    In the u.s. mastering trades and skills became something to look down on. So, everyone looked solely to academic skills and obtaining a business degree. Going to school then to work was the way. For instance, agriculture has been frowned upon. That's just one example. It is slowly changing in the u.s. but there's a long road ahead. We must work hard to change the narrative of the colonizers both on The Continent, in The Divided States and the u.k. We must realize the lies we have been sold about Africa and invest in The Continent.

      A balance in skills is needed, from qualify trade people are necessary as well as people with academic knowlege specialist doctors, IT, accountants, lawyers etc. Some people with those universities degree can still creat employment or be bussiness minded. For example you are a nuse with practical skills you can start an agency with a variety of health care workers, you can train them, many from the diaspora are retiree who will need someone to help them with health care aids etc, there are so many ways to transfer skills if you are that academic person (book smart.)

They dont tell you that most people wont be on time nor show up for appointments. Water issues, electricity issues, infrastructure. Yes, its wonderful being there but there are a lot of adjustments to make and you NEED money. None of these people are travelling like some poor locals in the hoopty cars on the daily. @@elyonrg5062 So, what explains this -- people whose upbringing/education don't prepare them to "critically think and act proactively" come to the West, excel academically (usually outperforming their peers) and go on to do so well professionally? I thought it takes critical thinking and proactivity to do that. No?

    Dentaa you have a lovely neck but some of your hairstyles conceal this. Unfortunately some of don't just like listening to what you're saying but also like looking at you. It's what has been called 'the male gaze' and is of course the bane of female presenters.

    No Ghanaian police officer or military officer have slapped or abused you for no tangible reason before that's why you think there's freedom in Ghana. Those Ghanaian military and police officers can abuse you and nothing will happen to them. Ghanaian judges have been remanding poor innocent people to prisons for no solid reason. Just look at the first judge's behavior at Odartey Lampreys & his wife's case. I'd rather be treated badly at foreign land by a foreigner then to be treated badly in my country of birth by my fellow blackman. A country where by you have to know somebody before you can get things done on time.

    That slave castle is in Ghana. How could Ghana possibly be a symbol of freedom?

    • @kelugu3776
      @kelugu3776 2 года назад

      @Eric Apronti Thank you for responding to Sunny Fru's nonsense comment with such diplomacy. I'm sure I would have fired off some expletives. First of all, Europeans built those castles, initially to hold gold and other resources. Why should Ghanaians be blamed for what they chose to do with them subsequently? It was their choice to treat human beings worse than animals, not ours. People who come to Africa have the freedom to do good or bad. That's the nature of true freedom.
