You just place the sim card, if it doesn't work it means the Airtel signals from the booster tower are too low

My laptop says it uses an old security model and dont know how to update its firmware...the internet is not helping with much info

Model M88 is an old version and thus they stopped releasing updates for the device, try to see whether you can get the laptop to just use the mifi with it's old firmware. Hope that helps

We don't use those here in Kenya, but if all those simcards didn't work you might be in a location where network strength is low or the sim cards' bands are not supported by the mifi

Red means no internet access so make sure you load enough bundles before putting it in (50bob at least) or try putting it in a very high place, like near the ceiling if you live far away from a booster

Insert that saf simcard into you phone and use phone settings, security and disable pin. That is what's preventing it from connecting
