“Sweeping the hook” looks like a pretty hard hook set to me. Love these old videos and seeing how far fishing has evolved.

Great instructional video. Picked up some slider jig heads while ago and now I know how to use them more efficiently. Another tool in the war chest! Can’t wait to try out the new method on the lake soon! Thanks Charlie Brewer and Foxy!

I was fishing in a boat and I was using the sliders just dropping down on the side of the boat and I was catching bass I didn't have any problems catching bass with slider worms

That was just flat out fun to watch and learn from. Keep it simple, slow it down and mimic nature.... How often we forget when running and gunning or power fishing and we'd catch twice as many slowing down. Wisdom and then some... Great video

In the 90s someone gave me a slider worm in his slider hook and I developed patience I want to learn how to work the slider worm and then one day prospertown New Jersey I caught a bass that weighs 8 pounds and that was on 10 lb test line and I just ordered more worms and more hooks from Charlie Brewer slider company just the other day so yes I'm a firm believer it's one of the best rubber worms I ever used in my lifetime

Excellent stuff Charlie! What worked when this was made, is as good today as it was when you made this film. Sadly, too many anglers these days seem to believe that spending more money on more expensive equipt. will buy them results. All they need to use is a bit of effort to LEARN a few skills. All they need do is swallow their pride and admit to themselves that if they're not catching doing one given set of things, then repeating that process will likely repeat their results it gave too

I remember the old days when my dad and I would fill a stringer with LMB, clean 'em and take 'em home to eat!

I’m 65 years old and I’ve been using sliders for years. Light line is almost useless today unless you are fishing for Trout or Crappie. And the tackle has changed drastically since this session. The drags on reels today are incredible.
This was very hard to follow.
    Manipulate?
This is a very slow method and you can catch many more fish with heavier line. You’re not going to fish weeds or put the pressure on any fish.
Ned Rig or Drop Shot fishing, Neko Rigs, Senkos, swimbaits the list is huge.
Open Face? We call it Spin fishing.
Closed Face? We call it conventional tackle.
