The transfer market transactions are always slow, desired players seldom come through (Paredes for example); a time for change of who is incharge perhaps? For Chelsea to make the top 4, there are two options to follow in my opinion: 1. Sarri to stay but have to change the midfield around: Kovavic and Jorginho to be given a break; Kante to play the holding midfilelder position where he is best suited; Loftus Cheek to replace Kovacic and another stronger midfielder (maybe Luiz temporarily) to replace Jorginho. Christensen could take the place of Luiz at the back alongside Rudiger. The midfield, as it is now, cannot provide enough service to the front players to score goals. 2. Sarri to go (if he remains uninterested in changing things up) and Zola to finish up the season as care taker manager before another Manager is brought on board. He, definitely, would not insist on playing Kovacic and Jorginho all the time. Other Managers in the past had plan Bs but Sarri has not played a plan B as at yet!

Asides the fact that Chelsea players were poor in this match, the Chelsea Board and Management also have a hand in what is playing out in the field. The transfer market transactions are always slow, desired players seldom come through (Paredes for example); a time for change of who is incharge perhaps?
For Chelsea to make the top 4, there are two options to follow in my opinion:
1. Sarri to stay but have to change the midfield around: Kovavic and Jorginho to be given a break; Kante to play the holding midfilelder position where he is best suited; Loftus Cheek to replace Kovacic and another stronger midfielder (maybe Luiz temporarily) to replace Jorginho. Christensen could take the place of Luiz at the back alongside Rudiger. The midfield, as it is now, cannot provide enough service to the front players to score goals.
2. Sarri to go (if he remains uninterested in changing things up) and Zola to finish up the season as care taker manager before another Manager is brought on board. He, definitely, would not insist on playing Kovacic and Jorginho all the time.
Other Managers in the past had plan Bs but Sarri has not played a plan B as at yet!

1-Kante need to protect the defense, we don't need him fighting for the ball near to our enemies area.
2- Hazard need to be more straight, pass the damn ball, when he hold the ball for too long our enemies close the spaces.

How Do Chelsea fans not see that the issue is player effort. mayb bc i m not a chelsea fan and i am not wearing chelsea glasses. I watched this game and its clear the biggest problem was effort. Sarri and Guardiola share similar principles but Sarri does only 1 thing, even his subs are always like for like, whereas Guardiola is constantly looking for new ways to setup his teams, different formations - symmetrical and asymmetrical, using players in different ways, innovating etc.

The fundamental problem at Chelsea: The board is running the club purely as a business and brings no passion to the process. They buy and sell players merely as commodities for profit. We need to open up the purse strings and spend the money needed to bring top players to the club - the players that the coach wants, not the board.
the problem we have Nini is Jorginho, he is the elephant in the room. He is lethargic, not athletic and lacks imagination going forward. We should have Kante in the role. Kante is getting into scoring positions but he is not a finisher. Sarri is trying to make Kante someone he is not. We have no cover for Rudiger and Luiz because Jorginho is not fast enough to recover. Sarri did not select our only threat on the right going forward Hudson Odoi, he continues to make things hard for himself. His stubborness is costing us, let's be real Kante needs to go back into his natural position.Sarri is sticking by some out of form players but this is costing us.
