Tinman, love what you're talking about for future videos. I have 3 028s, all supers, love them as limbers. Keep it up man and best wishes to the family and lil C.
Myself I prefer the auto tunes saws . The 565 & 572 are my two favourites. Both I own and are build by Donny Walker. They are flat out awesome. Donny does fantastic work. That being said the 372 is almost impossible to beat. It has reliability in spades. If I could only have one saw it’d be a 372
I have only run a 572XP out of that group of saws but I love it now. When I first got it it was a dog before break-in and I thought I should have bought my first Stihl saw which would have been a 462. Now after breaking it in I love it along with my 5 other Husqvarna’s (T540iXP, 550XP mkii, 562XP, 592XP, 395XP). Thanks for the video Tinman.
Go for a wide powerband on the Stihl and set it up with an 18 inch bar and Stihl RS chain. You will wind up using it more than you think for cutting up firewood. I would take a non x-torq 372 in Husqvarna, I've used a 570 and find it just too heavy. A lot of people say the Ms440 will outperform a 372, though I think the feel of a saw plays just as much importance as how much power it has.
I have several of the 028 and a few supers they are heavy but they just run and run. I have my grandfather 028 he bought new has kept many people warm for many winters.
Any one of those saw's you can't really go wrong with, but having all four on the table or in the back of your truck at the same time is even better! looking forward to some of your future build's coming up.

I just wanted a new 372 and I ended up getting an x-torq and porting it. I’m pretty happy with it…it’s definitely a speed saw more than a torque saw. It’s sensitive to rakers lower than 0.025. I “unstrato’d” it and I don’t think there’s much fuel consumption penalty.
I know there is not much one can do to mod the 550XP MK2, but would love to do so. Specially adding a nice exhaust to it for sound + performance. In the EU I guess this is not that common?

Easy fix with 6202. My first 372xtorq 2010 model lasted until I decided to replace everything last winter. It was still a strong running saw with lots of hours on the nylon caged bearing. The only problem with a wrap is you can’t cut as close to the ground , I cut stumps off close to the ground , so I can drive the truck over them . Build all my firewood roads that way 👍🇨🇦
I bought a 357xp around six months ago and I am having carburetor issues or something too. It is so sensitive when I adjust the carb. The slightest turn of the low adjustment. It is crazy sensitive.
