The sound in person is absolutely fantastic, really powerful and deep, without being too loud. Doesn't sound artificial at all, like it seems to do in all videos for some reason..

All the comments about the sound actuator...please spare us the knowledge..all the people that bought this car we know the deal ...yes it does have a fake sound and not as a V8 petrol But let me tell you it does put a smile on your face everytime you start it and guess what....I can do 4.9 sec to 60mph in a 4x4 diesel with 40 mpg average...sooo tough luck

Fake or real sound is sound. If it sounds good then great. Similar sound can be replicated on cheaper cars but the performance is a lot harder to match and a lot more expensive.
I would've rather had a more quieter, but not artificially enhanced engine noise. Or just a mean turbodiesel rattle like a cummins engine, but that's not happening with the cat and all that stuff.
You can turn the speaker off if you want. Its just a gimmick

City you are pretty much at 12+. 8-9 is possible on the highway. But its not as easy as they say 7.8 l/100 :D
No I think a bit more than 12L/100km because my dad has 13.2L/100km in his bmw x5 3.0d f15 although he drives only in the city and is a bit a fast driver but still the audi sq7 will have a bit more than 12L/100km
I have on my range rover sport 8.4l/100km and i drive bit faster mostly in city so it depends on car. I think Audi can do 9-10/100km

Дизеля в Европе уже лет 10 как не дымят. Это только в рашке национальный спорт - вырезать машине сажевик и немедленно начать этим гордиться.
Мой Туарег V8 4.2 TDI тоже не дымит нисколько. У него в выхлопных трубах стерильная чистота. ВАГовские дизели V8 - это произведение искусства. На каждой головке по своему блоку управления, воздушному фильтру, по отдельной турбине и по отдельному сажевому фильтру!
