The fact that there were two children involved seemed to hit him deep along with the wife obviously raising them alone even though they are married living in the same home. Not to mention the disrespect he shows his wife making Jon rather shook. I’m wondering if Jon knows a thing or two about children having a parent addicted to something? Maybe he was that child. Of course, he has been in the business for 35+ years so he has seen his fair share of alcoholism via customers and colleagues. I’m probably looking too much into it lol but he seriously looked and sounded like he was going to cry when he said that. He adores his career and wants the genuinely help those that reach out to him but also has seen the demons that can come with it.
He mention a few times on the show that running a business with your spouse can be very emotional, stressful, and tiring. It could bring the worst out of people and can actually make couple divorce and he should know since he and his first wife divorced over business as they were Partners/owners (I think?) and the stress made them divorced. So yeah he get emotional when the owners are married since he personally experienced how a business can affect a marriage. He said on the show when the owners have this problem he doesn’t want them to go through what he went through.

It's done "in good fun" as everyone jokes around and generally uses it to "hook up". They don't "hook up" in the bar. They don't use the bar as a personal playhouse to use the stuff they win. There's usually a decent drawing of a crowd as well since most people who show up know that they're going to at least get a laugh out of the proceedings or maybe go home with someone else.
Basically, bringing in this crap for whips and chains and whatever else... It's no longer a bar. It's an S&M Club. At which point... you SORT OF need city permission for that.
Whole show is staged .I fell for it until I watched 3 shows in a row with "alcoholic" owners , worst fake drunk ramblings I've r very heard- bad actors .I'm out
@@bluethunder4542 it’s really that hard to believe the owner of a bar can be an alcoholic? Are you actually stupid?

@@bluethunder4542 And now we go with "Let's go to failing bars, that are probably screened ahead of time for entertainment value". Of course reality tv isn't real-real, but that you have a lot of alcoholic bar owners isn't something that would surprise me. It's a prime reason for a bar to fail and it promises "good" entertainment. It's not like you throw a ball at random people on the street and then magically get three out of three alcoholics.
The Big Mike's episode was beyond emotional but so happy for Mike 🥲
“Stop sweating for a second and come talk to me” 🤣🤣 Jon is a savage

The big mikes episode is tough. They should’ve done more episodes like this all along. Bars that actually need to be RESCUED.
Exactly some don’t have the right to be rescued tbh

Mike and his wife so deserved their makeover. I both clapped and cried for them.
The Big Mike's episode has to be one of the best rescues Jon Taffer has done. More emotional rather than completely dramatic compared to other episodes and how it also helps bring a fallen community together from a major disaster.
I feel awful for Alexia, that poor woman has a drunk and unfaithful husband who doesn’t seem to care at all. :((
She ahd to have knwon about these qualities before they married so. They shoukd get a divorce tho, he nee#s therapy to help with him drinking so much. Either he wasn't made for the married life or he's poly and didn't tell her. Both of which are bad in this case so there ain't any way this gonna turn out okay
@@Havis_Princess maybe he wasn't like that when they met and gradually changed over time. I find it absurd how you think you can just discard people like its nothing and ruin your childrens upbringing. He needs help and he can definitely change for the better if he wants it. Nena4Ever15 being Poly isn’t an excuse to be unfaithfull. Also plenty of people get married and their partner only reveals their true colours later on
@@OlliePawsitivePets exactly. If he were poly, his wife would still have to be okay w him seeing other people, and it would still be him being unfaithful. Secretly hitting on other people while you’re married is absolutely not the same as being polyamorous.
@@Havis_Princess why would someone show their worst traits to someone their trying to marry?? he was probably fine when they first got together before he showed his true colors
Imagine being offended that the kinky sex cross you set up in someone else’s establishment got torn down by the owner.

I legit thought the owner was gonna burn that cross inside his bar (if not outside)

It’s a lot more than just a cross, like that stuff at home but don’t bring that shit into work😂 I know there were definitely some “naked nights” I mean look at the photos she often had her ass out.
@31:48 we’ve seen Jon mad but that quiver in his voice was something else.
I’ve never heard his voice crack like that. It seemed very genuine.
Yup. He's pretty open about being a family man, so when he sees that shit, it drives him a whole different kind of nuts.
He is a parent. So it makes sense that this would be extra personal for him.
He literally swatted at the female bartender too. I’d be pissed too
Dont get me wrong, I revel in the spectacle of human suffering and drama as much as the next guy, but these completions that have those really positive moments sprinkled in that almost bring you to tears..... *chefs kiss*

Jon-"what is that?"
Beardman-"It looks like some sort of cross"? Shit cracks me up
I thought he went mental and would reveal that he was Christian or something. That would've been funny.
Jon pouring the rest of that beer on that pathetic excuse of a man put the biggest smile on my face. I hope she divorced cuz all the evidence needed for her side of the case is on national tv. He practically gave it to her on a silver platter and I hope to god she took it.
