- Freshman year is finally over! I have so much time to make animatics now. I'm so relieved. I mean, technically it ended two weeks ago but I'm still allowed to celebrate.
I struggled a lot with the end of this one. So many "sincerely's" to fill. It was really hard, but I napped on it and I figured it out. Naps are good for the soul.
I think my next DEH animatic will be either Waving Through a Window or Requiem. I'm leaning towards Requiem because I wanna draw Connor's dad. I may do a BMC animatic next, though. #grayoblongpill

A couple notes:
- The forest that they have a fantasy sequence in is the same forest Evan tried to kill himself in.
- Why does Evan own a skateboard?
I headcanon that Evan's dad sent him a skateboard for his birthday because he had no idea what he actually wanted. Evan managed to actually learn to skate! But he can't do any tricks. Lame.
- How did Evan lift up Connor with a broken arm?
It's a fantasy sequence, Connor isn't real. I'm pretty sure unreal (and dead) people don't weigh anything.
- Connor catching the letter in the beginning is supposed to be a parallel to Good For You.
- I watched a loooot of Ed, Edd, and Eddy while making this. Good show.

I wish I could draw or animate because I really want to do waving through the window! Do you have any tiles for animating, you know freshman to freshman, animator to animator?

whoooo this kinda helped me too i just can't animate stuff bc no way to actually draw it
If you need help drawing people, watch speedpaints. It sounds stupid, but just watch and pay attention to the techniques used and how they sketch out the characters and things like that.

Thanks for this! My dad bought drawing and animation programs, but I struggle with drawing on a pad (there's no screen on the pad, that's too expensive.) Any tips?

I'm actually really happy to notice that Fantasy Conner (the one Evan makes up) and Ghost Conner ('real' Conner) are two different entities in this animatic.
I like to see them (in the play anyway) as Open Hoodie Conner = Fantasy Conner/the 'Open-and-sharing-to-Evan' Conner
and Closed Hoodie Conner, the one we see at the beginning of the play, as the well, closed-and-only-real-Conner-we-see Conner.
(cough) Anyway that was a tangent - really love the Animations - Keep it up! :D

2:53 "The only man that I love is my dad." I loved the entirety of this but one thing keeps being forgotten: Evan is rubbing his neck when they're talking about dads, as if to say, "Yeah.... I love my dad...." And it just IMMEDIATELY reminded me of, "Is a truck taking away Mommy too?"

God, this is one of the best animatics I've ever seen. Your art style is absolutely gorgeous and the things that you add in the background and the real feeling of a journey in it. It's amazing.
The part where even closes the curtains on the real Connor and jumps into made-up connor's arms is so like I can't even explain it it gives me a lot of emotions. Also the entire scene in the forest is so unique it was really cool and no else has done that yet. This is a really good animatic please keep animating!!

Heck this has to be one of the best Sincerely Me animatics I’ve seen! Not only does it have amazing visuals, it has some actual animations, amazing backgrounds, creativity, and your style is simply amazing! I also love the additions of real ghost Connor, and small bits of sound effects. I know this is really late but I just wanted to say this is still really fantastic!

Like you threw a pillow at the camera, you went threw a calendar and transported to a forest, and the water filled the screen and brought the audience back to reality. This is very well done!
