ya these books got me through my dads passing i started to read the first one 3 days before when he was in the hospital and 2 weeks latter i finished both books, 3 days before he passed i would read it non stop when i couldn't be with him then after he passed it focused everything i had into reading because it just helped, i would likely be in a much darker place if it wasn't for theses books.
Abrams books, you need to put this kind of information at the top of the description! :O Gotta get this now. That’s super cool the scene they show here. I actually remember F.C Yee talking about a scene of Kyoshi stepping on peoples’ heads like Suki being cut (forget which interview, but Faith Erin Hicks was part of it too). I think he said that he was tempted to actually have Kyoshi topple everyone because she’s so much bigger as a comedic moment, but it ended up being too crazy. Great to have the actual scene here. Some surprise Kyoshi hype today.
Damn, I bought my physical hardcover copies of the books back in spring and recently finished reading them for the first time this past summer, which were fantastic and are perhaps my second favorite Avatar pillar (ATLA at 1, Kyoshi at 2, and LOK at 3). Out of the two, I prefer Rise of Kyoshi only by a slight margin, but still love both. I should have just waited until now to get these editions of the books as my first copies. 😅
@@bgfilms8235 Same here, I didn't get the bonus content. That's quite unfortunate. The books are great but the box set is missing one of its biggest selling points. I looked everywhere in the box set and I couldn't find the bonus content slip that AirSpeed Prime demonstrated in his video. Alas...
I just got my box set a few days ago and I can’t find that extra pamphlet either if that’s what you’re talking about. Idk if it’s that I got one defected that didn’t come with the pamphlet or what? 🤷🏻♀️
I think it is just still very early, the problem is less that we don't have a preview and more that communication is effectively zero and Avatar Studios is clearly impacting all story content. They need to simply establish official communication channels and say whatever little they can, the problem is that where does news even come from, there are no Avatar Studios social media accounts and the existing Avatar accounts are rarely even up to date with news. It is telling that nearly every Avatar Studio update since Feb has felt like a mistake, rather than a proper update on Avatar Studios. The CG info from a while back, was just a casual mention as if we already knew about it rather that a "reveal". I think if we go through both comic cons next year with no update then it is time to panic, this year unfortunately is just set-up, but they need to announce some new comics and books SOON.
When nothing is drawn, then nothing is set in Stone, then nothing can be previewed. It's not their choice that producing content takes 1-2 years of development.
My reaction when I saw that there was bonus content
"A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one"
It is a pretty tight fit, my original copies won't fit in, it will completely depend on how tight the binding is on your copies.

Your breakdown of the bonus content was very thorough!
Seems like a great option for Avatar fans who haven’t had a chance to buy & read the novels yet!

I also just realized this: this is what the collector editions of the comics' commentary could've been. Alas...

What do u think of avatar studios killing us and the franchise softly with no preview of animated content.
