For me the clear winner is Beauty Box, followed by Imagenomic and then Cosmo II. Mainly because Beauty Box seems to fix the small defects without blurring or losing contrast. I'm sure that a bit of tweaking could get the more "glamor" results of Imagenomic if that was wanted, but, I would want a plugin that could make people look better, but not look like a plugin was used.

Imagineomic loses too much detail in the eyes, eyelashes, teeth, etc. it’s softening where it shouldn’t. But I acknowledge you are just using default settings basically. I have cosmo and get amazing results with a touch of tweaking. Then skin colour correction change is a great feature and can be easily tweaked with dials.

But I think it would have been better if you adjusted Comso II a little bit in the skin color option, to have it a bit more pink so it looks just the same color as the other too. Now it was more yellow in every comparison and that kind of distracted me.

Unlike plugins such as Boris, they wanted some outragious price for a whole package I did not want or need! Question from a non expert editor who has never used these - do these plugins allow you to save a setting so you can apply it to each clip shot in the same lighting and filming session, or are you required to go in an optimise each clip individually hoping to match the optimizations in the initial clip you corrected?
thank you so much! as long as you have the same white balance and exposure on all the clips, you can just add an adjustment layer and apply the beauty box effect across all the clips, otherwise if there are variations with color and lighting, you have to add the effect on each clip. i believe you can create your own preset as well but I just use the default settings because it already looks natural out of the box
