Good video Dave. I find it easier to pull off the serpentine belt tensioner. I actually got caught on timing belt teeth getting pulled off due to pump timing off on a 2.0d PSA engine. I never even knew about pump timing on those engines 😬😬😬
Thanks for the video, I've got a mk6 fiesta 1.6 tdci, with a very similar looking oil leak, around the crank pulley and on the A/C compressor, did you see where it originated from on this focus?
Any reason why you can't just use your impact gun to tighten your crankshaft pulley bolt by 180 degrees. Safer than using that prong tool with bolts potentially causing damage?
Dave great video, have a focus 1.6 tdci 180 k on clock timing belt replacement at 150k the car has now got like a whining noise coming from the timing area going to get a timing belt kit fitted again, would it be the water pump don't want to drive the car until I get it changed.
If it is a high pitched whining noise, it might be coming from the electric power steering pump. I have replaced the fluid in my '11 Volvo S60 1.6D and it is super silent now. Just an idea.
@@davesterlwhat would they be timed for? the injectors are fired electronically and take the fuel from the common rail, there's nothing to time the pump to.
@@davesterl because of the so called pump phasing on the Fords that supposedly is responsible for striped teeth on the belt? If this was a real problem then it would affect a lot more car makes with CR diesel engines don't you think?

Common rail fuel pumps are not timed, their only purpose is to pressurise the common rail.
Wrong

Not supposedly, it does and many makes CR pumps are phased. But you think whatever you like
