i also have a medium ALICE that i just keep for collectable reasons as it is unissued, but this one also has the manual! that's a collector's dream, what a find
Wholly cow!!! Iam 54, spent 4 yrs in the Corps from 88-92, 3 yrs in the MING 97-00, I have never in my life seen a new Alice Pack! For 99 euros, you stole that sucker!
Now You have the frame to build Your Ghostbusters gear :-), just kidding. Really nice! Thanks for showing the manual page by page. I bought two NOS medium ALICE-packs incl. frame years ago, both the late version in woodland camo. Got them from Mayer Ausrüstungen back in the days. I kept one of them in unused condition. If You're ever looking for a really large backpack my recommendation is the Netherlands Saracen 120 liter backpack, kind of a hidden gem.
Ah, hi there! Well, I actually have that dutch rucksack on my list already, plus a few other ones. Looking at it just now though, I guess it can wait since the price on those is not too attractive for me considering I got the british PLCE long and short rucks recently for a great price (50€ and 30€) which are very comparable. I also try to step back from buying in general, as I sit in a clinic long term right now and already bought piles (10+) of rucksacks (MOLLE II, FILBE, Alice packs to turn to Malice) to refurbish and sew. Thanks for the nice comment though and have a nice week! Regards, oz.
@@ozzybwild All the best, get well soon and Godspeed my friend! I do not have the British Bergen, to be honest. The reason I suggested the Saracen is that it is an in-between of a really big backpack and a daypack/patrol-pack. The two side pockets can be taken off and connected by the zippers to have a seperate patrol-pack. Therefore it's kinda like the 'Transformer' in regard of backpacks.
