    I was curious if you’ve ever used pop rivets on an install. There was a salt water flats boat manufacturer that used this board for their decking material. They used near the rails a pop rivet. I was thinking it was a white plastic debit. My guess is they used polyester resin to bond the board to the plywood.
    It was a great material for a deck. Anti-Slip, easy to clean.

    Only shows putting it on the board not up to the wall easy to put on but doesn't stick and grab the wall once put up. Putting glue on wall is way better and cleaner. Tried both today. Way faster also if you glue wall

      @nigel thornberry If you apply glue to the wall it can fill any voids or inconstancies such as when going over tile. Applying adhesive the wall is best practice IMO and produces much less mess

    I maka dance pizza pie. Love this guys swirl spreading technique - though not sure it is more effective than just spreading glue in straight lines.

      @Volvonauts  6 лет назад +3

      Brian Johnson everyone is different. I get this method from spreading flooring glue in large quantities. I am comfortable with it and quick. Whatever youre comfortable with is best.

    Metal shears cut better and won't make dust that you shouldn't be breathing in

    Hi. Great video! I've seen others use liquid nail & or silicone. Which I'm sure sure be ok, however you do it the right way! I'm about to be remodeling my bath with this panel. What blade would be best. A carbide or diamond blade on a skill saw? Thanks!

    • @Volvonauts
      @Volvonauts  6 лет назад

      michael gordy regular carbide blade will cut, but a grinder is easy and precise

      Volvonauts Great! Thank you! I have a dremal as well for the outlet & light switch I'll be using. May not be a bad idea to cut the moldings with a dremal as well.

    Why not glue the wall, why glue the panel? Seems to make the panel harder to move

    • @Volvonauts
      @Volvonauts  5 лет назад +1

      these are 10' standing sheets, and that would be alot of up and down a ladder with a trowel full of glue. we glue up each job for speed and low cleanup. when the sheets are laying down or "railroad", we might glue the wall but i still prefer to work on sawhorses and not crawl around the dirty jobsite anymore than i have to

    • @13612
      @13612 4 года назад

      Depends on room size and egress situation. Troweling onto the wall versus panel is a better option sometimes. I'm currently doing 12 foot panels in rooms that are approximately 6 feet wide by 10 feet and 12 foot tall panels with painted walls and door jambs...if I were to try gluing the sheet first and moving it into the room, I would be spending more time cleaning up than anything else and have it on myself and everything I touch. 8 footers would be a go, but not 12's in tight quarters.

    frp product suck get frp already applied to a backer board just fasten to the studs

    • @Volvonauts
