Technically you could do it for free and they aren't able to do much. They can try and sue anyone they want, but as long as you're not doing anything illegal they can't do shit. Last time I checked, fan-made non-profit games are okay, even if the face of the game has an established copyright, you can only use it for non-profit projects, or charities.
So uh . . . technically they can, and they most likely will.
@@solacies Mm has the rights to LBP, they were working on LBP HUB, but then gave that project to Sumo and helped them make 3. Also Sony made most of the LBP games like LBP PSP, Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves, PS Vita, Karting and 3. So if anyone is going to make LBP it's Sony.
@@JeremyFinch42 technically, but also no. It means you cannot make any money even donations, and a company can also stop you from mass distributing their IP as well, which is what happened to the LBP game that was being worked on by some really talented people.

MM disappoints me. It's good that they follow their hearts and do what they want. Ther're passionate about Dreams and I can respect that. It just sucks that they'd abandon one of the most loved Playstation exclusive series. LBP3 wasn't that great of a game. I don't think it was as bad as people made it out to be, but compared to LBP1 and 2, LBP3 wasn't that good. MM needs to come back to make LBP4. Dreams isn't doing too well. It had terrible marketing, a messy launch (with it sort of launching in 2019, but not fully, then launching the rest of the game earlier this year... it was just a whole mess). No one is talking about the game, you don't see it anywhere. The whole point of launching the create mode in 2019 was to have levels (like full on LEVELS) by launch 2020..... but all I'm still seeing in youtube videos are concept levels still. Downloaded the demo and I haven't seen or played anything that's "wowed" me. It's just very underwhelming. I wish MM would make another LBP game :(

@@Dragonmongamer no duh, but he said he liked it because it just feels like nostalgia from the lbp games. They really didn't need the warning, there was nothing to what I saw that could cause an epilepsy.
Certain levels contain flashing lights. There’s a warning on the ps4 and ps3 when it’s first turned on for flashing lights. It wasn’t nessasary then either but it’s still there and will always be there as a precaution

yaelm631 the songs were stamped from the search tool. A friend by the name of Drjones20. He recorded the lines in Dreams. Yes I’m very worried about copyright. That’s why I’m making my own story and not remaking the originals. It will be different but have some nostalgic elements

It left 5 years after lbp 3 was released, I remember playing with my elder brother, I was 11 and he was 15, and now I'm 16 and he's 20, hows time fast.
LiSt honestly I remember I was playing little big planet back in elementary. Then it was little big planet 2 in elementary also and through middle school. Never really got around to the 3rd one they made. Anyway, now I’m just finishing my senior year of high school and that comes with the growing of independence and losing a lot of friends and memories in the past. As well as now thinking about where I wanna go to college and how I’m gonna afford to go to a good university. My advice to you is to make the most of high school your next 2 years and do everything you can to get involved and HAVE FUN! Only thing is most don’t really understand this lesson until their senior year hits...
Me and my older played the entire game together on ps3, it was an amazing experience, I used to put donkey tails on him and he would get annoyed lmao, good times

These creations make me feel so happy and the gardens background looks like a place we visited long ago in real life, almost like a home. Does anybody else feel that way too? It is such a nice idea to have sackboy/sackgirl return to the gardens. It's nice to see how they're doing in video game world. Even though that sounds kind of weird 😋
What fantastic levels considering little big planet was my life when I was In primary school now seeing people make my favourite game in dreams makes me believe that dreams can make the perfect little big planet if people put their hard work into it and show us fans of little big planet that we care and will take good care of the little big planet series so we can all carry on loving little big planet.

Hope I'm not the only one who started crying. The first one was amazing and really captured the little big planet feel. I miss all the amazing memories I had just playing little big planet with my friend. Side note, if the creator does make it into a full on game, I hope he gets the announcer voice actor from the original lol

TurtlePlaysDreams since your the creator I’ll leave some feed back I would say make the game less plasticy because it kind of takes away the lbp vibe like the first one had amazing textures and and skins now there’s no textures for Sackboy or to make the world that real lbp 1, and slightly less but still a little bit of lbp 2 and again don’t take this to be offensive it’s just my opinion and constructive criticism

Looks cool but imo if youre gonna make sackthing move without layers then you should consider getting rid of levels with layers. That gardens level felt a bit off since you couldn't just jump back onto a layer behind you. I think it'd be better to maybe have an introduction level where layers are present at first and then something happens that either gets rid of them or adds layer-less levels. This is dreams after all and I don't think you should limit another lbp to just layers because of tradition. Just my opinion and good luck on this whole thing :))))))))))))))))
If y’all miss the game so much get back on it when you have time corona is out right now and no ones on there get on there for memories. Maybe if you guys see this and start playing it it will grow again... teehee

I would if I could find all my LBP discs. I've been playing for 10 years (15 now) and they were amazing... but sadly PS3 servers are actually gonna be ending once the PS5 hits.

I'd still rather have had this come out on ps4 than Dreams. Lbp games were the golden days. Back when you can still enjoy a bad level with 3 other buddies. And customized Sackboys.
I wish i could have really experienced lbp2 than I already have. Times are changing and i only just realized that i am changing too. I wont have a childhood anymore. And that just feels... depressing.

I remember. The first level i ever played in community was bora bora island in lbp1. Remembering the countless hours i spent, creating, sharing, destroying and just all around having fun in this beautiful little universe MM created almost brings tears to my eyes. Love you lbp. always got a soft spot in my heart.

Yass it is 3D and has adjustable camera angles! No wonder it is taking so long. It looks like right now that it will be at least two more years if there is not already a date posted because they still need to study media molecule's two games and work the graphics and bugs out. Cant wait!

I never forgot little big planet! It is my childhood and still is. I remember being so excited about it thinking it's the best game ever lol. My ps3 is broke now.. So I can't play it unless it gets fixed but we can't find any place for it to get fixed. Ps4 is mainly shooting games so maybe this will kinda boost ps4 ( in my opinion cause I think people probably won't buy littlebigplanet, they apparently like the shooting games. But me personally, I think it just gets boring it's kinda the same thing ). I am still wondering why they made this though. There's not much to put.

It's just like the endless childhood hours I spent building houses, worlds, adventures, with my friends.
Making characters beyond my wildest dreams.
Helping my friends make new gamemodes, game genres, you name it.
Then 3 came out, and the magic just...dissolved.
My child mind didn't care, I just wanted to have fun, but over time...I saw its issues. It's flaws. And besides, I was getting old...It was time to leave the Little Big Planet.
Today, I might come back, see if I can get my old ps3 working. Who knows? Maybe while I'm in this house for 7 more weeks, I can relive what it was like to be young again.

@@Pabxie Yeah it was quite a while ago now. There was a PC fan game called "LBP: Restitched" that looked SUPER good, it was in the works for a while, but then it got a Cease & Desist by Sony. Which is utter bullshit, honestly.
Media Molecule was actually praising LBP Restitched, too! But Sony pretty much said "Fuck off".
