  • A winter sports paradise in Tyrol: the ski resort Ischgl
Where a ski day turns into an epic ski day. Where a ski holiday turns into an unforgettable ski holiday. Where an event turns into the highlight of the year. Ischgl, right in the Tyrolean Alps in the Paznaun, is the perfect setting for pleasure-seekers and winter sports enthusiasts!
During the winter months, the little town in the Paznaun transforms itself into the lifestyle metropolis of the Alps for all sorts of winter sports athletes. It aims at all those who want to spend their ski holiday in the Tyrolean Alps - whether it’s for a day, for a week, a weekend at Ischgl or longer. Skiing in Tyrol can be a truly unique experience!
Where is the ski resort Ischgl located? It sits enthroned - at 2,872 metres of elevation - above the town of the same name, Ischgl, in the Paznaun. Together with the Swiss town Samnaun, in the Canton of Grisons, it forms the Silvretta Arena. This makes it the third-biggest ski resort in Tyrol in Austria.

Hi Ivo! Great video as always. Your videos really help to explore the skiareas and to plan a trip. Please, could you tell me if this was an early run this given day? I want to know because of the conditions on this run. Thank you and keep up the good work with your videos!😎👍🏻⛷️

Thanks! This was the second run of the day (the first one was more in shadows, so I chose to show this one), I managed to ski top to bottom two times before queues on the bottom gondola lift started to build up.

Holy shit was that a long run your legs must have been burning. God love you your legs have to be in great shape to do that run top to bottom 👏 🙌 👌 😊

Hi! Yes, I love long runs, they keep you in shape. Actually, every long run has some flat parts where you can rest a bit without full stop.

This particular run plainly showed the difference is steepness between red and black, as within seconds passing the black lollipop the run just dropped before it went back to a red, thou that last bit towards the chairlift could also be classified as a black given its steepness.

Yeah, I’d have stopped midway down to catch my breath. Red-black red 4 km on SL ski is no joke.
