He missed type5 completely from distance of gun barrel, shell went into air. Next shot, heat into type5 tracks/spaced armor. No wonder premium ammo didn't made any difference. Even bots would aim better.
You expected the type 58 to pen an O-I with the crappy 85mm gun with a pathetic 128mm pen? Even the premium shots are garbage. ^^
There is a spot at the front secondary turrets where they meet the hull, there's a (admittedly small) spot where anything can pen the O-I. At least at close range.

At the beginning they were shooting each other from medium to long range...also in the premium shell round the Type 58 got one shotted...(he managed to pen O-I though..with gold XD)
hmmmm Japanese super heavy tanks, verses Chinese medium heavy tanks in a HP pool trade slugging match standing still in an open field. I wonder which would win......... Certainly the superheavy tanks with more hitpoints, I mean half the the Chinese tanks aren't even heavies. The Japanese tanks are made to take hits, while if you are trading hits in the Chinese tanks you are doing it wrong. Superheavies versus superheavies would've been more fair and interesting.

E100 line vs type5 would give more intriguing results IMO. The Germans have high penetration guns in mid tiers that can go through the Japanese armor unlike the Chinese in this episode.

Well problem is that there is no line that has all supreheavies other than the Japanese line...
E100 has a few, Maus line also has a few. but there are no true full tier 5-10 super heavy lines besides the japanese

As someone who regularly drives a type 58, i can say that I really feel sorry for that guy in the first couple of rounds

Tier 8 premiums versus same nation elited tech tree tanks, e.g. Is-6 vs IS-3, T34 vs T32, WZ-111 and 112 vs 110, t-44-100 vs T-44, SuperPershing vs. Pershing, t-34-3 vs. T-34-2, and so on.
Or maybe the same at tier 5.
This is the best idea here. IMO It would prove that many of the tier 8 premiums are better (at least noob friendlier) than its tech tree counterparts.

Chinese would win every time
Chinese meds are excellent brawlers while Japanese meds are good snipers. It would not be a very fair fight because one tank is more or less completely out of its element. Kinda like letting an T110E3 face a Grille 15 head on.

STA1 is very good, type 61 is very good, STB1 is excellent. Yeah, the lower tier Japanese meds dont have a particularly good reputation, still, I liked the Chi Ri and that autoloader.
I am at the STA-1 in that line now, and can't really seem to become friends with it. It's said to be similar to the Pershing, and I can see where that's coming from, but I generally do alright in the Pershing, whereas in the STA-1... well just sometimes.

Type 5 Heavy Yes it does. All tier 7 heavies can pen small sides of the 2 turret boobs in the front. Without gold.

nice idea, but chinese heavies have medium tank guns, and are not made for front lines. Just saying.

The Mythos Flat armor. Maus have 200mm frontal armor and 240 turret armor and front armor is sloped.

Yet..... They still can't win a war.
Panther versus T-34-76, the Panther would win. The problem is, is that the game does not simulate the cost of each Tiger or Panther versus the cost of each T-34-76, you only get one tank to use. Also, engine failures only occur in the Soviet tech tree (because of removed speed governors (if that is not the name of that, please correct me)). Engine difficulties and cost is what really hurt the Germans, not the guns and armor of their tanks.

How about a wallet warrior face-off? Lowe vs T-29 in a face-to-face slugfest. Granted that's financially asking a lot but I think the tanks are popular enough for you to setup a 15 vs 15 match.
Great video! One little thing i disliked about the video, is using the overlord map for round 4. The dark ground texture/shadows from the clouds, made it difficult to see the tanks and see all the little fights going on. I much preferred the wheat field on Mallnovka. :)
Would've been better if it was Japan vs E100 line or Maus line, because those are all superheavy tank lines, and the Chinese "heavy" line is garbage. They're more medium tanks than heavies and the Type 4/5 Heavy tanks have giant alpha when the Chinese only have ~400

notice how in the 2nd ap test the all the Chinese tanks that died weren't heavy tanks. not quite fair to put a type 58 or type t34 against their Japanese heavy counterparts as the armour on them is ridiculous and the type 58 gun is crap

what if i tell you on chn server, Chinese d25t gun has 300mm penetration depth when shooting gold?
that means chn is-2 can easily penetrate the forward of jp type4 ht, is-3, t-10, kv-4, kv-5 and turett of t29, t30 and t34.
wz111, 112, t-34-2, t-34-3 and wz111-4 are also armed with d-25t gun. it only cost 3,800 per shoot.
chn server is monopolized by kzw. they faked the rules to attract players to buy chn gold tanks and PO-471 at very low prices.
what they do harmed the balance of chn server a lot.but this is not the main problem.
faking the rules equals to selling cheating programmes to the public. kzw is also responsible for the broken balance on chn server and the falling competetive level of chn players.
dear wot players,please copy and post these words or conplain it to wg, who have to face this problem as soon as possible.
Dez! We need a ramming Face Off! AMX 50B, IS-7, E-50M, KV-5, T-10...anything and everything that are known to hit hard with a ram, to see who is the best. Stationary tests (one tank sitting still), and of course, head on - doing both down a hill and on flat ground.

A better face off would have been China heavy vs USSR heavy and for the Japanese heavy would go better against Maus or E100 line. In the shootout the Chinese heavy should have won because of the higher DPM and mobility, that is if WZ-111 1-4 would know how you use that tank properly, also if the space was larger where the Chinese could have use more room to maneuver.

I got 5 skills in it and it's mean I'm too good and the tank is very good I have a lot of medals in it even i had 7 times stand alone vs 5 and more,
it's not just the tank it's the player who play it well or not for me I'm too bad in the T110E5 as others are so damn in it
The 113 player hasn't got a brain at all, shooting the cupola is not what you do with the Type 4 and 5 heavy.. you shoot the flat plate just below the gun.. like the Tiger I.

In the premium round the chinese tier 10 was angled, not sure that had much to do with it but it could have if the Type 5 bounced any shots, (I couldn't tell)
chinese lost the 4th/5th round cause they mostly tried to kill type5 first which is the hardest to kill, hes not even that big of a tread considering its dpm. if they all killed the tier 5/8 first they could have easily won..
total BS on the last 2 rounds... they could gang up on one tank and take it out. More teamwork would win not armor or firepower. Also some of pilots on the Chinese line couldn't shoot for crap.
I'm sorry, but did that type t-34 have like the shittiest possible crew or did he somehow think that the 76mm was a even a slightly good option
On One side we have Japanese tanks. Tanks who you can clearly tell are Japanese.
On the other side we have Chinese tanks. Who look like confused Russian tanks.
I was expecting there to be more bounces, Japanese armour is stronk. And Chinese guns are not so stronk.
Oh and i forgot about the MASSIVE hit point advantage the Japanese tanks had, as @Ebony Phoenix said

The chinese should by all means win, this was bad teamwork by the chinese. They should have gone after the low tier targets first and then the big boys.

The Chinese tanks aren't made to shot in a line, they are made to be stealthy and have lower profile. Where as the Japanese have the opposite, huge profile and heavy armor

We all know how it ends the fat armor and the fat hp pool will win cuz EPIC BALACE what do you do in kv1 when you face OI you can pen his from you can try pressing the number 2 button but who uses prem ammo in such tier ??? hahaha
a kv1 would be fighting an o-i exp, and the kv1s' armor will bounce all if the o-i exps' shots unless the exp uses gold, while the kv1 will penetrate the exp everywhere.

I talking about IO not IO tier 5 u do know kv1 has normal pen of 120 and the tier 6 oit has 150 from armor u do know very well if you face it its not gona be fun but yet i have over 500 battles in the best tier 5 tank kv1 so i mad killer of tier 6 OI's but not all the times end up me wining vs that 2 shot gun
sekireialpha I tested that, the AP ammo perfectly goes through KV-1.
And with the smaller gun on KV-1, most of the shots bounce off of O-I exp.
Even though we both know how to sidescrape with my friend, O-I still won on base settings.
On max setup, KV just wrecks the O-I though.
Actually the last battles "shoot whoever you want" is a bit pointless because in my opinion it strongly depends on the tactics.
So this is a joke.
I haven't seen this video yet and I'm making the claim that the Japanese will certainly dominate.
