[PS4] Ketsui Deathtiny - Arcade Mode - Omote 2-ALL Clear 295 Million

- Quick and dirty Omote 2-ALL done for La Calice Cup.
Ketsui was first released in arcades in 2003 and was made by CAVE. It's easily one my favorite shmups.
Ketsui Deathtiny is the latest port of Ketsui done by M2. It's part of their Shottriggers lineup, a project to port classic shmups to new consoles in the best way possible.
This port is by far and away the best shmup port ever made, if not the best port ever made period.
It's arcade perfect, has two different arrange modes, five different BGM's to select from, an arcade challenge mode, leaderboards, replays and tons of extra features and extras. It even has save states for practice and a feature to reduce input lag.
It's the ultimate version of Ketsui, you can really see how much care and love went into this port. One of my favorite details is that there even is a side-widget during the stage 2 and 5 midbosses that tells you when to finish them off for maximum score.
You enter the Omote loop if you beat the first loop with 6 mistakes or less.
A mistake meaning either a death or a bomb.
You enter the Ura loop if you beat the first loop with no-miss, no-bomb and more than 120 million score.
There is even a widget on the side that keeps track of this stuff for you.
Ura is a lot harder and has blue revenge bullets instead of red. It also has the game's TLB at the end.

My most loved Cave shmup. It's so readable and you can get in a zen-like mode quickly
I was just finishing the stg weekly cavemania stream replay right about now and you go and upload this. Lovely timing. Probably my favorite bullet patterns in a CAVE shmup.

The game is developed and published in November 16th of 2002 by Cave Co.,Ltd and Licensed by IGS and AMI. Because DoDonPachi Dai-Ou-Jou White Label came out in July 1st of 2002 when the Mid-air Collision Above the Western of Germany was triggered and Black Label also came out in August 24th of 2002 When the 2002 NASCAR Winston Cup Sharpie 500 For TNT Sports has been Broadcasted.

I recently watched your Ura 2-ALL and was wondering when you would revisit this game now that you have a PS4, but here it is! Any further plans with this port? Like arrange modes or Ura next?
Also, didn't notice the gauge for those two midbosses before. That's a really nice touch.

Hey hey, just throwing this out there on the off-chance that someone more knowledgeable reads this and feels like answering - I'm considering importing one of the M2 ports (I'm getting sort of burned out on Garegga atm) and I was wondering which one people would recommend more for an intermediate player: Esp Ra.De. or Ketsui?
Esprade is definitely the easier game, but Ketsui is way more fun in my opinion. However, Esprade has a cool setting and the visible hitbox in the m2 port plus the fixed scoring (original Esprade had a scoring trick that led to the most boring boss milking ever) are very good additions.
Overall, I would get both. Esprade is colorful, anime - styled and a bit more laid back, Ketsui is tight, relentless and intense.
I know it's a late response but 100 percent Esprade. I am between a beginner and intermediate player myself and it's perfect. Most would consider Ketsui the better game though, but I personally love Esprade
Question, how many difficulties does this and other Cave shooters have? I always wanted to try them just for fun, it seems they only have Normal and Ura and all the harder derivativea of the Normal mode
Depends on the game and the port, but this port lets you pick between 10 different difficulties in Arcade Challenge and there is also the Super Easy, Deathtiny and Custom modes. Deathtiny is a lot more lenient of an arrange mode and with Custom you can make the game as hard or easy as you want.

@@kurootter1562 Arcade Challenge is especially good for learning the game because it splits the stages into chunks and rewinds you back a couple of seconds if you get hit.

you get the Deathtruction bar thats like an auto bomb, the hit box is a little smaller and you get extends really easily in Deathtiny mode

Hopefully after the shottriggers lineup is ported to ps4 they'll port them to pc

It's Japanese PS4 only, so you either import the physical version or you make a Japanese PSN account and buy Japanese PSN cards to download it.

btw, Ketsui is one of CAVE's beloved child without any doubt, so of course, they also wish M2 to do their best to make this game look awesome than before and yea, i really like the side HUD, it makes this game look more advanced than i expected. =D
