The reason your Chaser suffered is because you used the chainsaw. You get less points if you one shot down them. Also "penalized" if you tunnel because you don't have 2 health states to remove.
23:48 instadown killers like bubba and billy are notorious for not having good chaser i believe for the fact that it only counts the chainsaw hits to be 1 instead of 2 even though they get downed so it counts as only 1 chases won not 2
That is true. The instadown is good to get the game in your favour, but you should try to end the most chases with normal attacks. Otzdarva mentions it in his killer adept guide (quite helpful for new players, to get an idea how the emblem system works).
Yeah like when he said "I thought the game was penalizing me for downing people too quickly, which in fact is not how the game works" I was like, no, that's EXACTLY how that works. Because you only take one hit to down survivors instead of 2, you're only getting half as many bloodpoints for injuring the survivors, meaning you get less score
There is one achievement that is pretty hard to get and it's a survivor achievement that was added during the Roots Of Dread chapter called "Hiding Seeker" where you have to end a chase against any killer by hiding inside a locker 35 times. It's very hard and ridiculous to get.
Lucky break, quick and quiet, overcome, and inner healing, cleanse a totem, start chase, get hit, run away and fast enter a locker, come out full health, rinse and repeat
13:31 I sincerely believe BHVR coded the game so that when you load into a trial specifically playing as the Spirit you have an increased chance of getting a close-up shot of her booty. It’s happened to me so many times and I’m actually relieved to see it’s happening to others.
Yeah, the bug was the Sole Reason I didn't bother trying to get Iri 1 Killer last Season. Once I hit Iri 4, Games where I got 3 kills didn't give me enough pts to Pip because the game would count it as 2 kills. So my options were to either sweat every match for 4ks, or just play some survivor and work on Tome Challenges... I don't regret my choice
I hate some achievments in Dbd so much. It is so stupid, that you have to rely on the other side not giving up immediately, but also bot being so good to do the gens in 4 minutes. I think the Killer Adepts should all be a 3k and nothing more. That way you don't have to extend chases with Bubba or Billy to get Emblem points or get punished by someone killing themselves right away.
As someone who strives to get 100% (96% currently) I really enjoy this content. I have few achievements in mind that could be fun to watch (and pain to achieve) as well as some insights/techs if need be. The hardest one I did recently and I would like to see is "Left For Dead - As the last person still alive, activate the last generator and escape through the exit gate." This used to be not as bad, but now with endgame is really difficult, since you need to finish the final gen AND open exit gate before the killer closes the hatch and blocks all gens or kills you.
I believe I got this achievement when I finished repairing a gen (not the 5th) and opened the gate after the hatch was closed. At least I'm pretty sure that was the game, I only noticed the achievement at the end of the day...
I think you are my favorite killer gamer of all DBD, the goofy commentaries, the occasional memes. And the pain sharing experience while being so chill about it
i’m pretty sure that part of getting chase emblems is that you want to generally hit survivors twice per down. i think bubba is a bad choice for this because if you’re doing a good job you get one-hit downs, meaning less successful chases, which results in less points toward the emblem
Merciless isn't actually tied to bloodpoints, its tied to amount of hook actions! According to the "Victory Cube" page on the DBD wiki: "16 Killer Goals would result in +2 Rank Pips and the win message "Merciless Killer"" A Killer goal is a hidden scoring system that awards points for Hooking: First hook +1, Second hook +1, Third hook +2, Allowing for a total of 4 Killer goals per survivor for a total of 16 per trial! Also any survivor who disconnects after 5 minutes of the trial starting will immediately reward the killer with +4 Killer goal points! Memento moris and such also have their own scoring as well! super interesting stuff!
That's older DBD. In this version of DBD, hooks alone will not grant merciless. You have to: Defend gens, get hooks, chase survivors and down them, and interrupt the survivors. Also, the level of your grade changes the amount of emblems required for a merciless victory.

Btw, your chaser emblem in the Bubba game was silver because you were using your instant down too much. Those don't accumulate as much chaser points as m1ing people down. Anyways, all you need is 9 hooks to get iridescent devout iirc, usually that isn't much of a concern unless you're up against an efficient team that requires you to tunnel &/or camp.

It was a long time ago but when I was a kid I had a nightmare where basically there was a rough diagram of the human body, but when I poked at the insides I saw my older brother in pain, until he eventually just kind of… fell to the floor. It really kinda messed me up as a kid, so instead I just imagined it was someone really evil instead of him
To get Merciless killer you need to get +2 to your grade but The lower your grade, the lower emblems you need that's why you got 2 merciless killer because you was on gold grade. On Iri grade you need 4 iri emblems and with this bug you can't get 4 iri emblems unless you pick mori and get points to emblem from mori (good to know this because it's not 1st time this bug appear in game) And sorry for my big English skills

If I recall, for anyone using this as a guide; Merciless Killer can only be obtained through all 4 survivors dying by ANY means. I believe also at least two iridescent emblems. But most likely no one surviving, disconnects doesn't count. Good hunting!
The game does penalize instadown killers because each hit is considered a "Chase won." So you can get punished for playing Myers, Billy, Bubba, and Oni + if survivors never heal you'll have less hits and thus less chaser points.

This achievement honestly didn't really seem that difficult when it was initially a thing. I got it playing FREDDY of all killers. And I believe one of the perks I used was NOED, so I didn't even have a perk for the entire trial pretty much every successful game. I believe one of my other perks was Sloppy and I can't remember what the third one was, but I know it wasn't Jolt. And this was even before Hemorrhage was changed to regress healing progression, so I was basically running no perks at all. And doing so only really took me just a handful of games from what I remember. I think it was all just because of how the Match Result system worked, it was directly tied to how many pips you got, with +2 being Merciless, +1 being Ruthless, +0 being Brutal, and -1 being Entity Displeased. This means that if you tried doing these Merciless challenges right after a rank reset, it becomes incredibly easy because it is literally impossible to get -1 pips at such a low rank, and getting +2 pips was easier as a result. If you try doing these challenges at Iridescent ranks it becomes very hard because you have to pretty much play a perfect game in order to actually get Merciless. With the system as it is now, it's even easier, being directly tied to the amount of kills you get, as opposed to pips. 0-1 being Entity Hungers, 2 being Brutal, 3 being Ruthless, and 4 being Merciless. You could argue this system is harder because it requires you to get 4 kills instead of just playing well, but that's only really true if you're basing it off trying to get Merciless after rank reset. Overall as an average it's much easier now, far easier to get a 4k than to try and get 2 pips at Iri 1, since for that you'd basically have to get every single hook before a single gen gets done with the maximum 3 hooks on every survivor
Have you gotten Milk n' Cookies yet, I heard that this achievement and Survival Treasures both don't work, don't know if it is a PC issue as well but us console players can't get these 2
A bit late and they've probably changed some things about how merciless works but you misunderstood how the Chaser point system works (assuming the wiki was correct). If you chase someone for 14 seconds then that's a total of 1260 chaser points, but a 21 second chase is also worth 1260 points, and a 29 second chase is worth 1740 points. The math behind this system is incredibly stupid and I doubt the developers thought about anything. Basically, there's moments of time where the chase score drops before going back up to higher than the last tier would allow allow you to reach. Also it's likely that killers with one hit kill abilities like the chainsaws, Myers, or the plagues infection are netting less chaser points because there's literally just less total chases. A single 60 second chase is 1800 points, two 29 second chases are worth nearly twice that much, but a single 14 second chase is still only 1260 points. You actually can get penalized for having chases that end too quickly.
The bubba game isn’t because people died on hook, you got 9 hooks which go towards a different emblem. When you instadown survivors, it does give you less points towards chaser than m1 killers

Currently struggling to get hemophobia trophy. I have escaped on the disturbed ward without getting hit at least four times, and I have not been granted the trophy. So infuriating
1 shot down killers aren't ideal for this kind of thing, that's why bubba CAN fail (edited to make my point clearer). Also for others who try these types of achievements and Adepts, do it nearer rank reset. You were Gold which helped. If you were Iri you might not have got them all.

About the chaser emblem, instant downs seriously screw it over. As far as I know, it essentially means you did half as many chases.
bubba is one of the hardest killers to get merciless with because you wont get enough chase emblems becaus you'll probably one shot a lot of people

Arent you get merciles and other, just by amount of kills?
it's more based on hook actions. But the points can go up or down depending on your playstyle
