    Can you explain to me how much of a difference i will see from any amp really being able to only provide 13.8 volts DC to the amp my car is newer and therefore has a smart alternator with the ONBUS LINBUS electronics build which controls the voltage and makes it almost impossible to upgrade the alternator without serious customization so I am trying to learn how to do the math when searching for an amplifier for my setup to know how much of a difference i will see and can compensate for it with a bigger amplifier that is if it's significant enough to worry about

      I kno rgth, I gotta 03 Yukon wth a computer controlled charging system whn it's cold it gets up2 14.8v and in da summer time stays arnd 13.8v. so I dnt even kno why most companies rate them at 14.4v anymore. But just buy and amp rated at 12v problem solved 👍

      @@playaj320 yeah I think my kicker CXA 1800.1 is rated for 12 v I could be wrong but when I can put something like a JP23 in my car rated at 2300w RMS and the kicker can outperform it on every lvl and only rated at 1800w RMS I have to think it's got to be something along those lines I'm trying my best to upgrade my power supply I got a ioxus ultra cap battery and a 74AH lifepo4 battery with a 200A continuous 600A burst and it's made everything come alive it's slamming now but I keep wondering about this other .6 volts I have asked hundreds of people between here car audio forums etc. and they all say that it's such a small difference that we can't even tell without a spl meter or some other type of device so I guess I'm going to just run with it and enjoy what I have and make sure my next vehicle is HO alternator compatible

    • @Facekicker
      @Facekicker  Год назад

      As long as you can support ~300a of current, voltage won't make a huge difference between 13 and 15v on these amps.

    • @SlamryCamry19
      @SlamryCamry19 Год назад

      @@Facekicker ok that makes sense and I have been seeing that my amp is getting between 14.3-14.6 from the ioxus ultra cap and the lifepo4 I still don't really understand how it is but it is I can see it both in the ioxus app and on my multimeter I'm new to lithium and caps etc. I literally just bought them a month ago as my first power supply upgrade because I have been striking out on the alternator I've been trying to read everything I can and ask everything I can to learn but it's a lot so I got a little setup to learn with and I am seeing nothing but positive results so anyway your saying that amperage draw and delivery is more important than voltage

    So these have the same technology as the smart line? I'm asking because the 8k version compared to the smart 8k version is cheaper. So if they both have the same technology then I may as well get the Big Boss version over the Smart Line version. Plus the Boss version has led lights. Is this technology (full bridge) and brand a reliable safe option now?
    I have HIUGE chassis half bridge amps I cant use right n ow with space constraints in my daily car. This or the bigger one would be great if I dont have to worry about fires or blown subs when amp fails.
    I have not blown any subs or amps in the last 15+ yrs as I am responsible, but full bridge might be more finicky?
