The armed police at Horse Guards are Ministry of Defence police on a military property , their job is security and antiterrorism , crowd control at change over is for public safety ! Be very thankful we don't get to see them doing the job they are paid for , they did their job swiftly and efficiently on Christmas eve with what turned out to be a false alarm !
The police are MOD anti terrorist specialists, their job is to protect the premises, the troopers are active duty soldiers that can take care of themselves

Why would anyone come here at this time of year with a baby carriage? Too crowded, too cold. The crowds are obnoxious and you're just in the way.
