- Hey everybody! Thanks for clicking on our little looper cover of Hooked On A Feeling - an amazing song that just didn't sound right until we got our hands on the GR55 guitar synths... those big fat brass sounds, though!!
For the curious, we're linking both Boss RC300 Loopstations via midi, and also sending the midi clock out to our other equipment so it all stays in time. We're also sending that midi clock out to the Voicelive 3s and GR55s, so that any delays we kick on are also timed to whatever the first loop's tempo turns out to be (as you can imagine, there have been plenty of times when we've gotten over excited on stage and ended up performing this at nearly double speed 😂😂😂)

Interestingly enough, I was on my way to Houston on business Tuesday and was listening to this song, which is one of my favorites from this time period. Didn't realize you two did this one until you mentioned it today in the latest re-release. This song just makes you feel good when you hear it, or sing it. Well done Mat/Sophie. 5 years ago, and you just keep getting better. Never quit.
Ah thanks so much for seeking this out Randy - this os one of just three or four vids of ours that seem to have connected with a decent chunk of viewers, and we're rerally glad because it's still possibly our favourite vid we've ever done, and our favourite song to play live :)
It's a killer track and hugely overlooked - possibly because of the incredibly bold intro which we think sounds incredible but seems to put some people off...
@@TheDistanceDuo oddly enough, my wife is put off by the intro also, but I think it just validates the whole tune. But hey, what do we know 🤷♂️. All I have to say to them is “uga shaka!”

Haha - my Gibson has the Roland gr55 GK3 pickup. Mats Godin is the XTSA which is already setup for the GR55.
The drum pads are Roland Handsonic HPD20 (black) and hpd10 (white).
The loopers are Roland RC300. By far the best loopers out there, we're constantly looking for a replacement but can never find anything that works as well and can sync via midi.
