I'll do Cheek1969 one better, this is my all-time favorite song. This unique twist was very impressive, awesome vocals and Jenny's violin work is extraordinary. I do have to echo several others who find Ms. Baker very lovely to look at as well ......
I saw Boston perform this song live- at the risk of dating myself - and it has remained one of the favourite songs of my life. This is the first cover of this song that evokes the same feelings and memories I have of this song. My brother and I used to play this song: he on drums and me on guitar. He died tragically in 2020 so this song is particularly heart wretching for me, but you did it proud. I hope you realize that beyond doing a RUclips video - you touch people’s hearts and take them to a place they can never go again… except in their memories.
This is one of my favorite songs ever and you two covered it beautifully. Having been in a deep depression for some time, I let my music go. But when I saw Ms. Baker blow the dust off of her violin case, open it up and start tuning that lovely instrument, I cried like a baby. All is not lost for me - I still have my music - and nobody can take that away. So I just blew the dust off of my guitar case, tuned up that old Martin and started playing again. Thank you from my heart, and blessings to both of you.
You have a Martin sitting in a dusty case ? That deserves a slap, but I'll let you slide, my friend...LOL Deep depression is a bitch, indeed. You have a talent many only dream of....making music. in a way, I am kind of glad (sorry Mike!!!), I would rather he be less known and extremely good at his craft rather than be well known and swamped by attention and fame and no longer good at his craft. Some of the best artists and musicians were really not well known for their time they were active. Still, if he can be famous and still retain his quality and craft, more power to him!
Hello, Mike. Hi Jenny. Mike, it's so good to hear and see you again. The violin, which is being played superbly, Jenny, was a beautiful addition. This ole vet is still hanging in there with ya Mike. You two sound fabulous! Bless ya's!🙏

I've heard this song thousands of times over the last 45+ years, and this is really good. I was impressed by the extent to which Ms. Baker was able to imitate an electric guitar with the violin.
I'm a pretty harsh critic, and you guys should be damn proud of this. Just the fact that you can approximate Brad Delp's tone and range is amazing. The violin was great (when Scholtz started using his Rockman, people thought he was using violins). Excellent work on one of the hardest songs in rock to cover.
Yes..that was pretty amazing. Not many male vocalists can hit that high. That was a special period of time of rock in the 70's 80's when lead singer vocalists could nail those highs. Brad was one of them, Steve Perry comes to mind too. This was pretty special too.
I think same great arpeggios AND counter melodies and it goes higher than a voice ha ha. Singing is great too. This is hard to sing 2 and half octave raise in melody. I have to transpose it a bit lower...or begin very low from my voice register.

@@atanasdotsinski5666 Nobody can and ever will. This guy did a great rendition though and came pretty close. He'd be better as the new Boston's new lead singer than the current guy. But anybody in music industry that is smart wouldn't/shouldn't work with of for that egomaniac Tom Scholz who basically totally RUINED his own original "rock & roll band" and broke them up and screwed over ALL his original band mates when they had pure unique MAGIC as "a rock & roll band" that Tom dismantled and totally destroyed into a lame mellow music ballad crap cover band with garbage musicians.

I generally not only dislike, but despise attempts to cover the best songs ever recorded. Generally. Holy crap, this is unreal. And a bloody violin replicating the lead guitar! WTF? This is incredible. I don't know where this has been hiding or why it just now appeared in my feed but I'm glad it did. Well done!!
What a fantastic cover!!! Love this❤. Mike your voice is amazing and pure! Jenny your violin is pristine !! Not to mention your eyes and your smile are hypnotizing
The first time I listened to Boston back in the 70s I knew I was listening to something special. The first time I heard this rendition I knew once again what "special" means. WOW! Ok, so there's a tear in my eye. Thank youuuuuuu.
Classic rock with all the classic rock video tropes, you can't beat it. Standing in a farmers field while the camera flies overhead. Love it. Great rendition.

This is without a doubt , one of the coolest videos I have seen in a long time. You two need to go on the ROAD! Good God, I am surprised people aren't knocking down your door to sign you? Maybe they already have? I remember when I first put the needle to my new Boston Album back in 1976 and this song played. I haven't heard any cover do it justice since then but this just did it nearly 40 years later!
just saw Mike last night with Sterling Cottam...THEY ARE AMAZING...last night they were in NYC...The Cutting Room, which is a nice venue...UNBELIEVABLY GOOD...Wish they would bring Jenny along!!!! I've either been to, or worked, 200 concerts give or take, including BOSTON several times...last night was a top 5 event for me - all time. It was that good...
Always loved the Africa cover, which I come back to every so often. But not the algorithm deities have recommended this video and now I just have to play it on repeat. Great stuff!!!
I remember when Boston put out their first album, I fell in love with this song the second that I heard it. I'm pretty sure that I've easily played it 10,000 times. Ever since I've seen this version, I have a new love for one of my favorite songs in my heart... Nice job Mike, you really sang your heart out on that one...🎶❤🎶❤🎶❤🎶
Again! Unfreakinbelievable!! Love this dude!! His range is insane and he's also one hell of a guitar player!! He must absolutely love doing this cause it takes time to get a song right and to learn it so perfect and hes dead on perfect every time. He must bust his ass for 10 to 20 hours a day practicing and with his voice coach. Love seeing a hatd working person finally get their due!!
+paul lewis Yeah, I agree. She could be the poster child for the empowerment of middle aged women; in believing in themselves and not feeling that they can't be as attractive as their younger counterparts, that its 'all over' now they've hit 40+ as I've encountered far too many times. Maybe I'm the exception, but frankly I find women like Jenny far more desirable and attractive than college aged girls any day. Do you hear that ladies? This means you can stop (for the love of all that is holy, I'm begging you ladies, please STOP!!) chopping off all your goddamn hair and getting those awful 'mommy doo' haircuts after you hit 35 or have a kid. THATS why men aren't checking you out, not because your older!! ;) IMHO . . .
Jesus jumped the Rio! My eyes watered and my nipples hit the ground and never came back. God how I wish I could return to my bed in 1977 listening to the radio.
All I can say is WOW! Boston is one of my favorite bands, and I never in a million years thought I would hear a voice that could hold a candle to Brad Delp. Mike, your are truly BLESSED with a GREAT voice! You need to go on tour with BOSTON -- you would make the group complete! WOW.
Jeesus!! & WTF!! An acoustic guitar, a violin and a singer with an off the charts vocal range. 2 people damn it! This sounded (and looked) better than most full-tilt cover boogie bands out there who attempt to cover one of the most difficult and iconic bands around. This just royally blew me away. And, her going into the outro at 4:14 with ‘Long Time’…....was wild!!
I can only assume you don't want a contract with a record label since you easily have more than enough talent and reach a lot of people with your music on you tube. Perhaps it is best to avoid the mess of the music business. Just know your music is of the highest quality and greatly appreciated.

He's got a great set of pipes but modern times have produced helpers to gain and hold pitch. This is perfect.

just saw Mike last night with Sterling Cottam...THEY ARE AMAZING...last night they were in NYC...The Cutting Room, which is a nice venue...UNBELIEVABLY GOOD...Wish they would bring Jenny along!!!! I've either been to, or worked, 200 concerts give or take, including BOSTON several times...last night was a top 5 event for me - all time. It was that good...
WilsonEatsASMR i.. have to 100% agree.. wooooooow... ..just wow!
As good if not better than the original!
I totally agree with you. Not easy to copy Boston lead singer. My Favorite song from them in 70s..
Bloody Hell that was perfect. That Vocals and that violin. The violinist cannot get hotter :) Thank you for that.
Best cover of that song I've ever heard! And I loved the inclusion of the guitar lick from "Long Time" at the end!!
Stunning cover. I even prefer it to the original ! Well done.
I absolutely love it. I love the way she threw in part of Long Time right there at the end, that was genius actually
Omg! I love that song and you absolutely nailed it. Amazing. Love it.
This blew me away! I haven't heard or seen anything this good in a very long time. Extremely well done all around. Bravo!!! Wow!
I can't stop listening to this, and that's a good thing. Thank you!
Just found this and listened. Incredible rendition! Shared with about 40 of my friends and posted on Facebook.
Always loved the Africa cover, which I come back to every so often. But not the algorithm deities have recommended this video and now I just have to play it on repeat. Great stuff!!!
And the lady on the strings did an outstanding job as
Well.
Jesus, Mike..How DO you hit those notes?...:)
Carolyn665 vice grips ;)
Carolyn665 Head voice, good breath control and years of practice.

Kent Tamplin Vocal Academy!!
I'm sure Ken would have some useful tips, but no, I've never had the pleasure. :)
What a beautiful job, beautiful video!
Beautiful scenery, too.. 'Happy Valley' 🥰😇😉
Pretty sure that was just outside Glenwood Springs, Colorado. On the way to Aspen.
I am so impressed with this. Thank you and all who shared their gifts to give us all a wonderful dedication to Brian Delp. You did him proud!
That was so good, jenny, omg you are 1 hot violin player.
THATS why men aren't checking you out, not because your older!! ;) IMHO . . .
Jenny is awesome
D Grundman what's wrong with short hair ?
Jesus jumped the Rio! My eyes watered and my nipples hit the ground and never came back. God how I wish I could return to my bed in 1977 listening to the radio.
Wonderful arrangement……….you made this song all new again
Banger! This and Hindley Street Country Club - best covers of this classic, hands down. Love the violin...superb.
There is just so much talent here, it's utterly amazing
All I can say is WOW! Boston is one of my favorite bands, and I never in a million years thought I would hear a voice that could hold a candle to Brad Delp. Mike, your are truly BLESSED with a GREAT voice! You need to go on tour with BOSTON -- you would make the group complete! WOW.
Good God i love the violin in this. Im so impressed Mike with your work. Thanks for your gift!
Habe den Song von Mike erst jetzt entdeckt und mich sofort verliebt❤...unglaublich gut gesungen
One of the greatest songs of ALL time-- you do it justice-- Thanks Mona and Lisa for introducing you to me
That vocal is spookily good
Jeesus!!
Got goosebumps with the high notes and violin
So beautiful, it is like a journey back in the time, a lot of thanks.
Wonderful version of this great song, well done!
The chick is bangin' and talented. Damn
Jenny’s skill & looks take this one over the top Sir
I'm a big Boston fan. They would do well keeping up with you these days. Happy to have found your channel.
Very professional video. Hollywood level mixing and video editing. Bravo!
Still stuns me how good this is! 😎
You and Jeff have got to do Tiny Dancer and Wayward Son!
sam frame I second Wayward Son!
sam frame I third Wayward Son!
Dust in the Wind...
Forgot I was listening to a cover until I heard the violin. Very nice!
I can only assume you don't want a contract with a record label since you easily have more than enough talent and reach a lot of people with your music on you tube. Perhaps it is best to avoid the mess of the music business. Just know your music is of the highest quality and greatly appreciated.
I love this song and this is a great version of it
