  • BJB Polysoft Foam, how squishy do YOU need it?
    BJB has a wide range of two-component water blown, flexible polyurethane foams that are designed to be user friendly. Choosing a foam is not easy to do off a data sheet alone. Here’s a great visual to help you determine the best foam for your project.
    TC-266 3lb is our softest flexible foam. The cured material feels similar to a soft furniture cushion. bjbenterprises.com/index.php/...
    TC-274 4lb foam is slightly firmer that TC-266 and feels similar to a medium-firmness furniture cushion. bjbenterprises.com/index.php/...
    TC-277 4lb self-skinning foam feels similar to foam sandals or EVA foam. It is a lightweight, yet firmer self-skinning foam. bjbenterprises.com/index.php/...
    TC-296 FR is a 6 lb. medium density, flexible foam with fire retardant properties. bjbenterprises.com/index.php/...
    TC-284 8lb is our stiffest flexible self-skinning foam and feels similar to bumpers or an auto arm rest pad. bjbenterprises.com/index.php/...
    BJB's Polysoft and Fire Retardant Flex Foams are user friendly, fast processing, consistent, and loved by Industry Professionals! Our line is extremely versatile, with densities ranging from 3lbs up to a self-skinning 13lb foam.
    End users can adjust the firmness of several of our foams with a slight ratio change. As always, our technical staff is happy to answer any material questions that you may have and send you cured samples if needed.

    I loved your “such as”. I could easily feel the the type of foam in my mind.

      Yup, that’s the idea. Thanks for the feedback!

      @@bjbenterprises Another good way to communicate it might be to place a familiar, heavy object on top of the foam. Perhaps a bowling ball, or a house-brick.

      @@iAmTheSquidThing great idea. It's tough to convey "squish" in a video. Common objects can help. Thanks for the suggestion. 👍

    Excellent video. Can you tell which one of these foam is best suited to seal ridge caps on buildings with metal roofing sheets.

      These are not products designed for construction applications, they are best used to make molded parts.

    which do you think would be a great density for a golf cart seat cushion?

    • @bjbenterprises
      @bjbenterprises  3 года назад

      I would consider our TC-274 4-pound density polyfoam. This is a nice cushion style foam with good support. If you want something softer like a couch cushion, then you could go down to the TC-266 3-pound polyfoam. We have cured samples available by request through our tech sales: info@bjbenterprises.com

    Hello, very nice, thank you.
    What type of foam do you recomend for bicycle seat?

    • @bjbenterprises
      @bjbenterprises  3 года назад +1

      If the seat is covered with upholstery fabric or film, our TC-284 might be a good option due to firmness and support.

    What protective equipment should I use when using bjb products?

    • @bjbenterprises
      @bjbenterprises  10 месяцев назад

      With any industrial casting or mold making material, the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is where you find specifics for a material on what PPE to use. In general, you should always wear disposable gloves, eye protection, and have adequate ventilation in the work area (via exhaust fans or cartridge respirator).

    Hi, how did you cut the foam into blocks with such flat flaces? I know I'm late but I'd appreciate any help

    • @bjbenterprises
      @bjbenterprises  Год назад

      We molded them in a square box. The lid of the box had air vents in the 4 corners.

      does the surface end up porous like that

    • @bjbenterprises
      @bjbenterprises  Год назад

      @@samuelchen643 the "cheesecake" looking pieces towards the end of the video are cut on a bandsaw and expose the inner cell structure. The large square pieces have less surface porosity, but the softer foams don't have as much of a skin compared to the higher density systems.

    Can I still buy these in Germany? I looked at the German distributor website and it doesn't show any kind of shop functionality.
