    Howdy Early. I like the look and reasoning behind this build. I'll definitely give it a try but with the Rhythm archetype. I agree with the fittings being random and unfair

    • @Early1981
      @Early1981  Год назад

      I hope it helps. Rhythm will work well if you have adequate fittings

    I do like all the playing tips and suggestions this channel provides, but the main thing I have learned is, "although I may take singing lessons from Pavarotti, it does not mean I will be able to sing like Pavarotti." 😥😂

    Awesome guide! I was searching all over RUclips for a video like this. So many other videos make vague generalities (or straight up incorrect statements) about the gameplay effects of the Fittings, but offer little or no practical help. Is there anywhere the game tells you what, exactly, the "Timing Boost" for Tier 6 and 7 Skills is? Is it a +5 boost? Or +10? etc. And if your timing is already 99, do the Skills boost it to over 100 (like to 104 or 109), or only to 100 and no further? Now that this game is free on PlayStation Plus if can you do an updated video with all your current Fittings and all you've learned since then that would be really helpful, I've been playing TGC and EA golf games for years and so much about this system just makes zero sense.

      I'll look into it pal. The fitting system in this game isn't great

    Hi Early. This is unrelated, but looking forward to your take on matchmaking. Weird scenarios. Just finished a match. Went One extra hole in which we tied again, and my opponent was given the win. One other match, I'm one down after 8, with a chance to tie if I win the last hole. Instead, the other guy is awarded the win. One more. My opponent is laying three on the green, 20 feet away. He chips in for par. I birdie, and I either lose the hole or we tie. Either way, I don't win the hole. So be ware. Look forward to your take.

      Hey pal that's interesting I've had 2 games so far just to test it out. In the first game I was 1 down on the 4th hole and I think the guy quit or disconnected and he got the win. In the second game I won convincingly as my opponent really struggled with his timing. I'm planning on doing a series on ranked matchplay

    very helpful, thank you.
    Still, the "old gen" xbox one S with a "normal" controler is unplayable with swingtiming on, regardless of skill level or setting. It's like the outcome of the shots are random with or without calibration and after nailing thousands of shots on the Training range to the "slightly fast/slow or perfect" and then hitting a normal game yet again to see these "very fast/slow" all the time, as soon as I try to play a normal game, even against the cpu or alone on a Local match, I am about to give up. Without swingtiming the game is too easy, with it ON it's unplayable.
    I am still grinding skills and fitting though but being forced to play without swingtiming it's a very very slow grind...
    It's depressing :((

      I'm glad you found it helpful. Yes I personally think that the game has built in randomness at times regarding swing timing and the outcome of certain shots. I really struggle online with my swing timing and like you say it's very frustrating

      @@Early1981 thank you for answering to my "man I'm frustrated" comment up there. I really appreciate it. It's good to hear I'm not the only one who struggles with unexplainable shots and really weird swingtiming issues.

    Hey Early, thanks for this breakdown. I revamped my golfer based on some of your ideas. It might be interesting to create a second golfer with no skills or fittings, play a round with your developed golfer and the base golfer and compare results. Though it would be tough to remove the mental influence knowing your golfer has no skills and that translating to a poor round regardless.

      Hey pal I'm glad it got you thinking about your build. That's a very good idea. I'll look into that. I'd imagine it would be tough but certainly interesting

    I just figured something out that I had a problem with when it came to fast or slow swing. Dont take your thumb off of the stick during the follow through. I started to flick the stick forward for a 24 hr period, and couldnt figure wtf was going on. Then today, i started to hit the ball correctly, and it dawned on me that i was taking my thumb off the stick. Just flicked it. Played a whole round and kept my thumb, and sure enough... just try it.

    • @Early1981
      @Early1981  Год назад

      Yea I use the same method. I've never been a thumb flicker 👍

      Yeah thats a big one but also ive noticed if you know about real golf and tempo.... If you don't pay attention to the power meter rather the actual swing it will help a ton also

    • @steamsteamy
      @steamsteamy Год назад

      I put on the smooth swing archetype and just take practice swings. This is while playing ranked of course. But yes, its all about the tempo and letting the club do the work. Just like in real life.

    It's amazing you just don't understand, that all these so-called skill sets are, is the game making it easier for you, and if you purchase these skill sets, you're only buying an improvement in your play, so all those with money to throw away are only buying their ability.

    • @Early1981
      @Early1981  Год назад

      Surely it's a good thing that it helps improve your game? I didn't pay a penny. I unlocked everything by playing the game

    • @raphael2407
      @raphael2407 Год назад +1

      you can't buy fittings and you can't buy skill. Everyone needs to hit the grind (and it's dreadful, just like in every other 2k game)
