I think any kind of special Pokemon should be able to be used regardless. By "special" I mean unique to this game. So far it include the floette, volcanion, arcanine, and shimmy. With it being this type of game, it's the only time that a lot of us will ever have a chance of seeing them. Making them rot in the box is a waste of hard work and innovation. But that's just my 2 cents on the subject.

If you wanna appease the people opposed to you using steamer, you could just forfeit the lush jungle encounter since you can find phanpy there.
Unfortunately, that wouldn't appease them unless the encounter forfeited is actually a Phanpy.

The backstory to volcanion is that in Kalos when you progress through the story. Team Flare take over the Kalos Power Plant, and in doing so before hand there was No Power. And they don't know what was causing it. But eventually they thought that it could be a Pokemon.
So they got a cameraman from Hoenn to try and find the Pokemon. And that Pokemon that the cameraman found was Volcanion.

Use steamer and make a clause for special pokemon, like mana, kanga jr, scooby and azs floette. Probably for fallen pokemon like scar as well. OH YEAH ALSO JOJO FOR SURE XD

there needs to be an event pokemon clause where if a certain pokemon is achieved through some kind of event that requires effort it is usable

I think the Volcanion should be usable. You would have had to get a Phanpy as your first encounter to even have a chance of trading it otherwise.

You can use steamer (volcanion) because you got a trade like mana its like first encounter for the pokecenter on this route and that kid wanted this to happend. And that's why I think you should use steamer but after you check the type edvantage of your team because you have water and fire types on your team (mana and scar)

It’s not a single event but I really wish that people would react to legendary/mythical Pokémon in your party/or a battle with them
If you go to a cameraman in the news station thing in mauville city in Oras with Volcanion in your party, he will tell the player a little about it (maybe, I could be thinking of something else but I think its this), and the third person to beat colress is probably the player in black 2/white 2
Oh, and though it exists in the game, there's no legit way of getting Volcanion in-game, so...
The blue Volcanion reminds me of that old speculation video you did on Volcanion having two forms which emphasise its typing, red for fire and blue for water

Volcanion is completely usable because of two reasons
a. you got him in the Pokemon Center not on a route or on anywhere you got a Pokemon so technically that does count
b. I know it was your birthday but you spent more than two hours searching for that phanpy it's worth it just like az's floette

I didn't know Christmas was early this year! Floette got Birthday Clause because it was actually his birthday. Making the same case for Christmas is a massive stretch in comparison because it's still weeks away.

I say that if you can catch a Phanpy in Lush Jungle, it would be perfectly fair to use Steamer. Great episode btw!

I almost cried at the story behind the Volcanion. If there was an actual animation for the backstory, I am positive I would have cried.
Keep it. New clause: Trade clause: if an NPC wants to trade, you may go back to an area you previously encountered. Caught pokemon is not usable, but the one received is.
Steamer has to be allowed!!! For both Christmas and to keep Kihei happy we need to keep him happy not sad that steamer didn't get to battle

I like how 95% of the dialogue, if not more, has been changed, but the golfer beauty's post-battle dialogue was just her regular pre-battle dialogue switched around. It's still great, but it was so great in the regular game that it wasn't even removed.
When you get the pokepelago, go get some rainbow poke beans and max your Pokemon's affection to up their crit chance, exp boosts and will dodge moves more often

I feel that volcanion is fair game but u have to give up the pokemon u originally caught in volcano park or make a rule where u miss your next encounter so that way it would be a fair trade. That's just unfair. What if steamer dies? Then all those pokemon sacrificed were sacrificed for no reason. It's more fair if he just leaves his next encounter in lush jungle
I think he should see what his encounter in lush jungle is and if it's good and he catches it he can't use volcanion but if he doesn't catch it he can use volcanion

Okay, I thought you should’ve waited for the jungle to catch phanphy, but since you didn’t, I have another proposal. Catch something in Lush Jungle, anything, and then forfeit the Pokémon you caught there by releasing it or putting it in the death box and we can replace it with Volcanion, making Volcanion your encounter for Lush Jungle. Seem fair? Everyone like this so Thamill can see this!

I disagree. If the Lush Jungle encounter is a phanpy, yes. Otherwise only losing one encounter isn't enough. 3 encounters/ half the pokemon currently alive in the pc

The third trainer I’m pretty sure he is referring to is the player’s character from Black and White. He just didn’t say a name because the player customizes that character

Go ahead and use the Volcanion if you want in my opinion. There should originally be a rule for trades where you can catch a pokemon on another route/area then trade it with an npc.

If you remember some of Thamil's old videos, you'll see he made a video on Volcanion where he theorized another form for it and showed a blue Volcanion. That's where the developers got the idea for Steamer.
