- Is there such a thing as "peak" performance? Perhaps, but should our aim really be to sustain it? Heck No! - Health, wellbeing and even productivity are all based on our ability to both expend AND recovery energy. So give yourself a break, let yourself off the hook. Allowing yourself to rest is the best way to maintain your long term health and performance. At re-origin, we help people who have difficulty "switching it off" and feel "tired and wired." Thanks for a great video. I had never before thought of "peak performance" like that. We as a society are cut off from our circadian rhythms with the electric light, 24 hour streaming, etc. etc. If we don't relax, our DNA does not have a chance to heal. I heard someone the other day use the phrase "power nap". I'd heard it before, but really it is an oxymoron, yet, no one questions that phrase either.
