That's what I'm thinking... like I get it. Music matures with the artist that's how it should be. But, so many of us fell in love with these guys for putting our "teenage angst" into lyrics like Broken home, Jet black heart, and hell yeah even She's kinda hot. They're not like other punk bands, they made it mainstream and kind of represented what we didn't know how to explain ourselves. So now what's going to happen? They aren't teenagers anymore. They won't sing about things we can relate to like a dysfunctional family or feeling lost, or even rebellion and defiance. Who's going to be our spokesperson now? Who's going to be our savior and where can we all run to to feel like we belong...im sorry I need some sleep it's like 3 am.
Which part is it?
I feel like as a teenager, you experience adult topics but you can still react to them as a child, so I still think we're going to get some of the same concepts like we did in their old music, but we're going to get the point of view of an adult and not a teenager and im high key excited for their new point of view

Same and I think that’s why I don’t worry so much with these interviews because he does speak up in others just not all but you can tell by his face he is thinking or maybe is tired. But mostly he is thinking just probably waiting on a question he has the most thought out answer he wants to present. I’m sometimes like this if my thought on this question was put in my mind for a bit I will say it or maybe not an sometimes in interviews he is interested in hearing the other members views than his own since he is thinking a lot.

Luke has gotten so much better with interviews. He's more confident now. Ashton and michael as usual, they have always been good with interviews and calum is still quiet but atleast he spoke a little bit. I hope calum talk more in the future because i wanna hear what he has to say, i wanna hear his thoughts.

this is by far the most interesting 5sos interview I've ever watched, i don't know if its cause they're refreshed cause they haven't done it in a while or something but the questions were so different and so much better than 'what do you look for in a girl' or something like that
Yes! I love Zach
He's a great interviewer, he really knows what questions to ask, but also follow through in the conversation - asking more questions in a natural conversation , instead of just moving to the next question like a normal interview.
But I really like this, because it seems like he's taking the boys music seriously, rather than asking those fan girl questions - that's what makes him excellent and different

"We're trying to adapt to where music is at right now"... I was slightly disappointed to hear them say that. I wish they would do what they love instead of trying to keep up with trends. I've never been a huge #1 fan of 5SOS, but I do like their music, and I liked that they stayed in the more pop/punk/rock genre. I don't personally love that they seem to be going in the techno-pop direction, but we'll see what the rest of the album sounds like. Regardless of my personal music preferences, they are still a talented group.

as much as i miss the silliness in interviews, i love hearing them talk so maturely and passionately about the album and the process of making it. they all sound so intelligent and wise, while also throwing in jokes here and there which is really nice to see how they have evolved as musicians and as people. zach sang is also an amazing interviewer and is asking the questions that matter to start conversations rather than throwing in a game of "whos mosy likely to..." or something like all of the interviews from like 2013-2015(dont get me wrong i love those interviews but its refreshing to watch this one)

i'm so excited to see and hear what they have prepared, honestly i think this is going to be a succesful year for them, i really hope people be open minded about their new style or whatever they do, an artist needs to experiment new enviroments to grow and inspire themselves so, don't be rude about it and say "oh i miss the old 5sos" bc that's just plain chldish and unnecessary- and rude- bc i mean, it's okay to have a certain preference towards an era but don't tell them what to do, *let them be free and make the music they want, let them be happy.*
