Good job, Tom. That clamp-on vise came out very nice. In Germany we call that model Underspanner. I recently restored one in my Tool restorations 5 clip. Really nice what you did.
Another awesome video my very first auto was a hugger orange 66 chevy pick up so I'm a big fan also!!! Awesome that super clean worked on tools and in home!!
That is one cool vise! The fact that you got those decals gave it that extra character. Plus I agree, orange really stands out well against the wood bench👍. Great work!
I have no idea how I’m just now finding your channel but I’m glad I did and I have some catching up to do. And as a bit of a Millers Falls addict I have to say that vise looks amazing and now I’m searching for one! haha Outstanding work, sir. Thanks for sharing that project.
Great job Tom! The vise turned out beautifully. Love the orange. Nice job on the new lathe too. The knob came out perfect I think. Miller’s Falls tools are great. Take care 😃👍🏼
love your vid, totally agree about learning about past companies that were not on my radar when doing restorations, i have a mf no18 just a quality little vice that basically is a marples copy
Nice to come across the channel, I have this exact vise that I got for $3 at goodwill. It’s been an extremely useful tool. It had paint all over the factory green paint so I wire wheeled it and while I was trying to figure out which color I should paint it, I ended up using it, and I use it so darn much I’ve never got the chance to paint it. At any rate you did a beautiful job 👌🏻👍🏻 and have made me want to finish mine. Maybe matte crinkle paint like they use on machinist toolboxes
Tom, I just found your site today. Iam enjoying it, so I subscribed to you. This is my wife’s I-pad so her name comes up always. My name is Carl. Thanks for the great videos.

It actually the original size one for a bench vise.
I hate Chevy orange! I rebuilt 17 engines before I was 20. All of them Chevy smallblocks painted orange. All worn out. My first Ford engine happened when I was 25, it was mine. It only had 230,000 miles, so no Honda!
Absolutely outstanding really enjoyed that video Tom well done
Thank you Ben!
Great job Tom it looks awesome!!!!!!
Thanks John!
The vise came out fantastic! Nice job making the Delrin knob!
Thanks magdad!

Nice! It’s always great when you get a little luck and things work out, like when you made the bottom knob.

Chevy orange, using metal lathe to make parts, what's not to like in this video! Beautiful restoration! 👍

I love '57 chevies also as well as '55's & '56's but that was no '57 Chevy. It was a '55.
Hahah, thanks for that Rick!
@@TomGunnTools You did do a really nice job on the vise. I just had to give you a hard time about that picture.
Absolutely, you guys are great!
