I'm finally here with a "day in the life" vlog for you all! this was probably the most requested vid i've ever had... I hope it was worth the wait!
I wasn't able to dedicate an entire day to vlogging, but I've thrown together a bunch of clips throughout the summer to make for a makeshift "day"!
just to reiterate, i'm in the harvard graduate school of education's teacher education program!
i have to say that this video makes our summer days look much more celebratory than they usually were LOL most afternoons were just long 3-hour classes without the cakes and free food hahaha don't be deceived!

Hello, I have an important and concrete question. I would generally consider my English not to be very bad. I study the language and have been studying at a boarding school for a certain time. Now I have to say that when I examine your language skills, I see that you think in the language, have totally taken it and subconsciously use it. I would love to get to that point. My English meets the standards of C1 with a tendency towards C2. To gain more fluidity and confidence with the language I would very much like to ask for your advice. Perhaps you can reflect on what has helped you and help you to use English at the level of speaking and writing. Thank you very much, I appreciate it.
Hi! Thanks for watching and for your question ~ I can’t offer first-hand advice since English is my first language, but I have worked with English language learners and can give some second-hand advice (that hopefully can help):
- Practice speaking with someone! If possible, have conversations with someone who is fluent in English and ask them if they can give you occasional pointers as y'all are talking. If you don't have anyone you can practice with, try thinking out loud to yourself in English/narrate your day in English.
- Record yourself speaking; when I started making RUclips videos, it was extremely weird to speak in front of a camera (it still is sometimes!). However, I've learned so much about the way I speak and certain phrases that I use repeatedly. Being able to watch/listen yourself will allow you to reflect on your speed, intonation, disfluencies, hand gestures, facial expressions, etc. as you're speaking.
- Watch TV shows/movies in English with English subtitles; this can help you pick up a lot of phrases that will not be taught in school/formal settings.
Hopefully some of these tips can help! Wishing you the best of luck! Just based on your comment, your English skills seem amazing :-) You're doing great!

bixch super late comment, but custodial workers are so essential in all institutions. Nothing but respect for them and anyone who goes into that profession ✊🏻😊💙 I loved the custodians and maintenance workers at my schools growing up! They were the MVPs for sure

Hi there! I had a 3.92 undergrad gpa and relevant teaching/mentoring/counseling experiences, but my cohort was filled with people from diverse backgrounds and stats! My GRE score was below the HGSE average.. my cohort mate had a 3.3ish gpa but a stellar GRE score and her background was not in education. I had another cohort mate who spent the last 24 years in the military! So we really came from all walks of life and I would definitely say to apply because you never know how competitive you’ll be 🙌🏻😄 Good luck!

Haha yup! We are teaching and taking classes at the same time :) haha no worries! I’m still in the program now ~
