My Apologies to Cloud Strife

From the seemingly uninteresting, to the surprisingly complex, my outlook on Cloud Strife has changed over the years. Where once I wrote him off to be nothing more than a sad pretty boy, a more in-depth look has brought a deeper understanding to this character.
I'm not quite sure where I got the idea to make this but here you go.

I agree, at first I like Zidane from Final Fantasy 9 much more than Cloud. However part of that is because I think FF9 is an underrated game. However Zidane in the world of Final Fantasy 9 is very confident and has success easily. Cloud seems that way at first however you learn that he is a loser that was angry enough to go after Sephiroth and fate sided with him. Then you realize it isn't that Cloud is afraid of Sephiroth its actually Sephiroth that can't stand that he was beaten by an ordinary loser.

Also for a while I didn't like how Cloud was a pretty boy. Then I realized in the FF7 world him being a pretty boy was actually a negative thing for most of his life. Soldier and Shinra didn't think he was useful because he was a skinny pretty boy. So even though I'm not a pretty boy myself I feel inspired by the fact he becomes the hero of that world when everyone dismissed him.
