That’s how I always judge a band. Sure, you could put out an album where everyone is on point, but could you get that same quality in a live show? These guys are great man
@@takentactus8779 In comparison to most latam countries, they get a lot of artists/bands. So do countries like Argentina, Mexico and Colombia. I'm from Uruguay, we get almost no one.
Incredible playing, incredible filming, incredible sound overall. What an experience. I’ve seen Plini live once (when Aaron Marshall and him toured together doing “Plintervals”) and they sound like pure perfection live. 10/10 recommend seeing these guys
All these musicians are obviously world class but; as a bassist I have to point out Simon, the bass player. DAMN! His technique, bass lines and tones are incredible. Easily one of the best bassists in prog music.
Simon's tone is out of this world. And his economy of playing beguiles how hard those runs he does actually are. And an amazing producer on top of that as well. What I find fascinating is this entire band is basically lead and rhythm. Chris and Simon drive things just as much as Jake and Plini. What a band...
First I wanna say thank you "dadii sow" for the upload! Then I wanna add they are all sound super focus, super trained, you can hear that there have been intense practising / rehearsal
I came across Plini few weeks ago and man!!! what a revelation he is/they are. I am a boomer grew up with classic music, Beatles, all the late 60s and 70s stuff... and - the 1st piece so reminds me of YES, with the hyper fast melodic guitar runs, the bass sound... yeahh I know Plini is doing their own thing drjmming is more heavy/metal style, but the concept...
This Plini fella sure has a unique sound about him...almost like the ethereal prog jazz blintzes like they sell at the Jewish bakery down the road. Your camera work looks stellar btw, and the audio is pretty good too...nice little portable show grabber
Geez...!! Hey camera person, how about some nice extended shots of the drummer, ok? Instead of just zooming past him on your way to the bass player...then back, sound good?
Incredibly talented musicians and decent tunes but as a live spectacle......kind of like watching four bedroom musicians standing in their bedrooms with beards! I know it's not cool to be Steve Vai.....but maybe a little bit of showmanship wouldn't go a miss.......half expected a mum to bring their tea on for them mid set.🙂 Maybe it's just too 'uncool' to be an entertainer in that way. Like I say.....Incredibly talented individuals.👍
As Anita Sarkeesian kinda said "Papyrus and comic sans are everywhere, and you have to point them out EVERY SINGLE TIME" About the only thing she ever said that was right

It’s crazy how his songs just get longer and longer. A true progressive pioneer.
Gracias
When a band sound that well in a camera mic, that means something
That’s how I always judge a band. Sure, you could put out an album where everyone is on point, but could you get that same quality in a live show? These guys are great man
but remember, not all camera mics are of good quality
a good camera mic is often better than a pro shot in my book.
I am who I am . Not sure about Death Metal.. Discuss.....
that the camera has a good mic?
Shout out to the guy who wanted Every Piece Matters
hahahahaha
EVERY PIECE F***KING MATTERS!!!
hahaha i wanted that song too :(
I am learning this song right now.. it's honestly so beautiful
It's his masterpiece, probably my favourite
Guy: shouted "Every piece fucking matters"..
Band: plays Electric Sunrise
"Every piece matters" must not have been politically correct after 2020
@@christopherharv This was made in 2019, though.
You know a bassline is good when the crowd is singing along with it
The musicianship and tightness of these guys is just phenomenal.
Thank you for record that concert. We are waiting Plini in Brazil!

One of the reasons why this band is so great and unite is that there are no egos. All of them are so low profile. Long live Plini & Band!
They are on fire in Cascade! Wow that drummer!!
Chris is a beast.
I like him but I still pick Troy Wright
@@hilariousclinton81 why did troy stop?
@@LanceWillMakeIt other Acts that the toured with offered him gigs and maybe more money? Thats the only reason i would switch gigs
@@hilariousclinton81 Injury to his leg, if I remember correctly. Pretty sure that he is dedicated to the music beyond the financial level.
This band is amazing. If you ever get a chance to see them pay the money and enjoy. Get close to the subs and feel that bass and drum

What a GREAT way to start the set with Salt + Charcoal. And with the new album out I WANT TO SEE THIS LIVE SO BADLY.
I just got turned on to this band.... I was listening to Polyphia and a friend suggested Plini...wow.... Im amazed and hooked.
Dude.. props to that drummer man. He’s great
Chris Allison is his name. He has a RUclips you should check out.
Michael from Vsauce really ripping it up

Plini here: Love you too Simeon!! 🤪
Thx bro.
that's good quality music right there :)
1:44 there is NOTHING like hearing that Simon Bass LIVE, IN THE FLESH. You feel it in your feet.
Yeah, but they panned away from his bass solo in cascade😭
This is amazing footage. It's a shame parts of some songs are missing but it's great to see nonetheless.
I love Plini!!!!
Gorgeous quality, thanks for sharing

Why this video ends in the best part? :(
Well shotted!!! Seems like a band videographer!!!
What would electeic sunrise sound be described as in music terms? Lydian?
It's nice to see Bob Dylan and Seth Rogan jam so hard. Who woulda thought

Who are the band members?
Plini didn't present Chris Allison's name..? I hope it wasn't on purpose
how you gonna focus on the bassist during my favorite part of handmade cities 😭

awesome performance
but so much talking in the background lmao
Why was electric sunrise cut short? :(
Next things of progressive rock !

Is that Paul Masvidal signature guitar?
Ironically it was going to be, but Paul didn’t want the tremolo. That is Plini’s sig.
Why didn't he introduce the drummer?
