I assembled one of these. ABSOLUTE PAIN IN MY SIDE. Things such as the sonar and the camera modules would not lay flat when screwed in. The holes for the stand offs around the R Pi had to have the tops and bottoms widened out (I went for a cone shape) so that the things would even screw together. I spent hours troubleshooting the recommended install method before giving up and using their own raspian image. (I've had this for a year, this is my second time trying to get the thing to work. Their software worked a year ago.) The plug in for the batteries would short circuit when pressed on (the inside of the bot is nothing but a wirey mess thats been forced together, so yeah it's gonna be pressed on) so I had to order another motor hat. Well that didn't work either, so I removed the plug on one of the hats and soldered on my own connector. (One year ago this was my only issue) Even through all of this mess, the thing will not connect to wifi half of the time, the servos are super jittery, the camera servo is really spazzing out and causing itself to overheat, and loads more of - you guessed it - not fun!
great stuff thanks for the informative video sharing! im interested to learn robotics python coding, do you think this allow us to do coding Vision-guided Arm Control & movement around? and can i replace the controller card with Raspberry Pi 4B? thanks
i loved the kit, but i found that it was too narrow and have drafted new parts (floor, top and motor mount) so the pi and hat can sit horizontally and have plenty of space for the wiring and airflow for cooling.
can it be autonomous? All the videos i have seen have the tank controlled with a gui on a smartphone or laptop. So can the tank be autonomous? this is my last question before i go ahead to purchase this item.
thats the only thing i hated about this tank. I think ive come up with a solution. Ive drafted in illustrator, a wider floor, roof (arm mount) and tail piece (motor mount) that could be laser cut and still use the rest of the parts. it would allow for the pi and its hat to be mounted horizontally, have room for a fan, and not have to cram all the wires into it. I do not have a laser cutter yet but i am looking into going into a makerspace with one to cut out the pieces and see if it works. and if it does ill post an instructable and post the files on Git Hub
Cool video. Looks like a fun project
I built one too. It was a fun short project. Great way to be introduced to robotics.
I just unboxed this project, thanks for the video.
Did you complete?

love it
Great video. I wonder where Raspberry Pi is needed. It seems during assembling and programming, you didn't use Raspberry Pi.
这个也有意思👍我家孩子喜欢拼,然后就不肯拆了
how about the cooling fan? cause I am afraid the ic chip will potentially be too hot and break down

Great video!😎👍
I’m very interested on this rover in this work with a smart phone control and what app can it work in iOS?
Just described your interesting channel!😎
how to stop the rasptank from running at reboot?
Is there anyway you could help with a AR project?
How did you config it?
is the software able to run on linux?
can it be autonomous? All the videos i have seen have the tank controlled with a gui on a smartphone or laptop. So can the tank be autonomous? this is my last question before i go ahead to purchase this item.
Wow
Where did you get the Client folder that contains the Rasptank.py? Its not on mine.
I have the same problem, how shall I find it please ?
It's hard to fit the circuit boards in with the wires in the way.

What brand of Battery is recommended? I'm struggling here!!!
I don’t think it matters what brand but it has to be 18650 batteries
@@prof.jellyfish621 Thats a lot of batteries
I've built one, but right now I have problems with the second servo on the arm, it rises its temperature without moving, any advice?
How can I download the client folder ? Please I have a project
@@alyaalblooshi5608 what do you mean by client folder? The full github project for the robot?
@@irvingjuarez2251 yes please
No puedo conectar al móvil ..ayuda
Where did you get the download info for the Adeept_RaspTank-master folder??
Did you find the client folder ?
Hanzhen harmonic drive gear ,
robot joint , strain wave reducer
over 30 years eperience
Rasberry 4
It looks like a bloody nightmare to assemble.
It kinda is

Remember to wear mask
Why would he wear a mask when he's alone...
so basically nothing worked as it should have lol this has put me off it a bit
