    Summary:
-Get 8 hours sleep per night
-Try sleep hygiene techniques, relaxation/meditation before bed, no caffeine, no high GI / large amounts of carbs, or big meals before bed
-Diet and Supplements: Mg+, D3, Zn citrate, tryptophan (5-HTP), DHEA, Melatonin (0.3mg) slow release, get adequate amounts of fat and protein in your diet
-WOD's: No more than 3 lactate threshold workouts per week, strength work causes boost in T (cleans, dead lifts, squats)
-Body Composition: excess body fat causes more estrogen production and uses up free T
-Labs: Get free testosterone levels checked (not total T) and possibly thyroid (T3/T4) and inflammatory (CRP) levels checked if you've tried everything and can't find why your T is low
-Stop taking Zambian and binge drinking

The app f.lux is great for making the brightness on your laptop screen less harsh on your eyes at night. It automatically changes the tint of the screen to a yellowish tone that is better for your eyes once it gets dark outside. You just turn it on and forget about it. There are also different tinting options on there you can choose from depending on how your eyes react to it. I highly recommend it!

great information! sure this help my training, especially during days when i'm feeling 'flat' or 'less strong'...wish they covered this stuff in the biomedical aspect of my dietetics degree! hope you guys meet some other knowledgable people at the paleo conference and maybe have some interviews on paleo experts talking about low carbohydrate and how the is beneficial is keep insulin levels down, and thus preventing weight gain...extending on what Gary Taubes mentioned in the crossfit seminar!

great episode! Watched it twice to get all the info... one suggestion though, when the hosts ask a question, please let the expert respond fully. Too often, he would be interrupted mid-response by some comments from the hosts and never get back on track with his answer.

No it's not it is really quite large for example you'll need at least a ten hour flight to get to where I am. Also considering that we only know one "world" it is hard to draw a comparison to whether or not it is "small". Maybe a better statement is that it is a small planet. #adolfhitler #josephdjugashvilli #heinrichhimler #hermangoerring #treetrunkfuckbitchtits #monsterfartatron #jesusbangedobama #jaimieoliver #gordonramsey #michealjacksonwasntwhitehealwaysworeamask

Fantastic episode! I wish I had taken notes, he rattled off so many supps, ha! I'm curious if these same methods and supps apply to women in the same way? (Granted our testosterone levels will suffer by comparison to men but we still produce it and need it.) Thanks for this episode, has to be one of my favorites! Super informative stuff!

I've been taking 5-15mg of melatonin every night for about a year. How would I go about balancing out my endocrine system after that long? I've built up quite a tolerance and can't sleep unless I take melatonin and I know it's not just a psychological dependence.

So does the time you go to sleep matter? 10-6 vs 12-8? I have heard that 10-6 is the ideal time for sleep but who the hell goes to sleep at 10?

Realistically they should be more aware of how to make their elite soldiers better, but if a seal is on a mission for two weeks how is he to get his test sups, he would be worse off than before. On a mission when it is most critical. They need to be all natural
