Interesting seeing this when I had my breakthrough on the loft for the stairs they actually cut sections and lifted back into the loft avoiding a crazy amounts of dust and mess.

That's a great way of doing it!
Was it lathe and plaster? Our stuff was practically jumping off the lathes, so cutting most likely wouldn't have worked sadly.

@@OfficeBoyBuilder yes it was, but it was previously skimmed about 7 years ago, so maybe it held things together better?!

Great job, 👍 but rather you than me... you've just got to love lath & plaste eh.
No matter how hard you try, it just mess, mess, mess.
Hope the next stage went well... looking forward to your next video of the adventures of installing the stairs.
    Respect 💪

Thanks mate! It's miserable, whichever way you cut it...best to lean in and get it over with 😂

Hi. Quick question on the double beam. Before you removed this did you need to install additional supporting beams or was there no need? Currently looking at a similar project for my property

We had no need for additional supports in this case, because it wasn't bearing any load above it. Always check beforehand though, and consult a structural engineer if you're unsure 👍 Best of luck!
