I knew the alphabet and sounds before starting these videos. It’s extremely helpful in this video to understand a little bit about how vav functions sound wise.
Thank yo Beth these videos are a great blessing!
I am blessed to stumble on this channel. You have no idea how many lives you bless.
It's interesting how the letters change into soft form depending on being first or second and the "and" changes also to soft or hard depending on words order. Such a simple thing in a language and it's so complicated already 😂
Thank you so much for all the time and effort that you put in in order to help us newbies learn Biblical Hebrew, it is soooo appreciated 😁❤️
I’m getting better and better by repeating several times a day! Thank you so much!❤😊
Thank you so much Beth, for this incredible work, and for all the love you put in it.
❤❤❤
Thank you so much for helping us to hear and train our ear. That is easier for me than trying to understand the grammar reasons right now. Sometimes it is a hard sound and sometimes soft sound. B vs V etc. Thank you for your patience with this slow learner. 😊
It's so much nicer to hear you pronounce the words then for me to try to figure it out from a grammar lesson!!
I am thankful for your videos. I am learning a lot from them. They are extremely well made.
Presently reading out loud through lesson two and this lesson uploads. May the LORD bless you and keep you both. Helpful learning.
that´s great I'm from Brazil I have begin to study with your lessons. I have learned many things.
Very helpful with enough repetitions for us slower learners 🙂
Thank you for your videos. May God bless you both and anyone else who is helping you.

SHALON BET Y ABRAHAN. BENDICIONES MUCHOS EXITOS
Great video, adding subtitles would be a great help unless you have 3-4 years to start understanding before learning as a young child in preschool. Great method if you are under the age of 10. Adults are able to read and would benefit from some explanations
Explanations and transcripts available at freehebrew.online/resources
Good teaching methods
Thanks ❤

Thank you so much for your efforts. I'm loving these videos. You are very talented. I have 2 questions please:
1) I noticed cow is sometimes pronounced "Par" or "Para" and other times especially in plural i hear "Farot". What is the correct way p or f?
2) The "and" word is sometimes pronounced "vi", "ve" or "w". Does the pronunciation change based on the word that comes after?
Thank you! Your listening skills are on point! To learn more about the pronunciation changes, please consult our Grammar Lessons that accompany the video lessons here:

The real problem for me is to remember the action words , verbs. How can you help with this?
These are best learnt in context, i.e. "Bob _sees_ a house"
lesson revision 1- 70, mPakistan.
Hello :) i love your videos, and I have just started learning this language. But I didn't understand when I have to use "v" or "u". for example: gamal v anashim or gamal u anashim? Pls help. Thank you a lot!
Thanks! Check out our grammar lessons at freehebrew.online/resources, we explain the rules in more detail there.
Ohhh you should have just responded with the answer. I just learned this. It depends on what letter follows it. It's U if the letter following it is one of these בומפ
You’ll get used to it as you internalize more. At this stage, it’s best to listen and focus on the meaning rather than trying to analyze forms of words. You’ll thank yourself later because then you’ll basically be reviewing things you’ve already internalized.

Hey, I have a question, I hear you sometimes say something like "Gamal v ohalim" for "a camel and tents" but other times I hear you say "khamorim u na'arim" so...why are there two words for and, and how do I know when to use them? I also hear that the initial consonant sometimes gets deleted when using the "u" and.
Hi Ashwinn, good question! You can find detailed explanations for those features of Hebrew that you're noticing in our Grammar Lessons here on this page: freehebrew.online/resources/
So, the vav changes, the P to F and the B to V and the K to Kh? Thanks.
Yes, if you know phonetic terms, the stops/plosives become fricatives. This change happens between vowels, not just after vav. :)
Why is the Hebrew conjunction O just the same as the italian O, i.d. Or.?
I’m thinking it’s probably better to print the lesson and follow along, correct? Anyone doing this?

@@AlephwithBeth Thank you! ❤️🙏🏻
Why is does the כ in kvasim get the u', but the כ in kosot gets the v' even they they both go from k to ch when they get the vav?
The "כ" in "כְּבָשִׂים" has a shewa underneath it. In cases before a word with a shewa vowel, the -וְ (vǝ-) becomes -וּ (u-).
The "כ" in "כֹּסוֹת" does not have a shewa below it, so the -וְ (vǝ-) remains unchanged.

Would be more helpful with english words. You may think it's obvious what the Hebrew words mean with an arrow or a girl snuggling a horse but it's not really..
Did you watch lessons 1-3 before watching this video? It's important to learn how to use our videos over at freehebrew.online/why-our-method/
So, when you see an arrow pointing at an object its not easy for you to guess the meaning?
@@kraken993 It might mean a few different things. I can't fully try to commit something to memory if I'm not 100% sure it's even right
