This video is exactly like Sumner. I have stoped there a few times over the years. I am an over the road trucker. Its hard to find a place to park a truck. There are so many warhouses and that rely on truck drivers. To bad the city isnt more friendly, and share love to hard working drivers who need a safe clean place to park. I started making videos a year ago. I am 50 years old and i am going to go to college to become a film maker. Awesome video.
I love Sumner and grew up there during 60-70's and love my home town and still live in the area. This video shows some very good things but sadly a little is missing. The current city council is trying to ruin its small town feel and other councils which have done to it over the years too. This used to be an agriculture town but has over the last 20-40 yrs. become basically a warehouse town! What's even sadder is the part where it states "History still matters" is a blatant lie to the city council! The photos of the Ryan house is the last of Sumner's true piece of history and the current council does not want to save the first house of Sumner and for which Sumner was built around. The Ryan's were the first mayor and first library and the councils have seen fit to not take care of it over the years and now want to "TEAR" it down and "Destroy" its last piece of its history. SO, saying where history still matters, not any longer. I've seen a lot of change and some good but a lot of bad choices and the saddest is they don't listen to the people that live here. All I can say is once history is gone, it's gone forever and the next generations don't get to enjoy the past, what made the town in the first place. The Ryan house needs to be restored and saved as Puyallup did with the Meeker mansion but sadly the way they are changing this town it don't seem likely do to their not wanting to work with the people to save it but only want to tear the past down when it should be saved.
The river that flows through Sumner in this video is the 2nd most polluted in the state, 2nd only to the Duwamish. Ive lived there since 1968, and the city council is doing its best to make sure to erase it's history and make sure you can't find a place to park. It's overrun with tweakers and junkies too, so secure your property, and keep your car safe or they'll steal it. This video paints a different picture than what I see everyday.
This is a friend of mine's hometown. We met each other long time ago (1992) at the México City University. We said goodbye one day and haven't seen since then. Then we were single. I'd really aprecciate someone to help me find her. Her name is/was Barbara Jo Oyler. Thank You so much in advance.
@@cmbellcompany7611 Thank You so much for replying ! Ive done so and more, but unfortunately no good results. She's surely married now and changed her family name. I won't give up till I get to her.
I decided to help and I think I found her! I’m sure this is her because her family members have oyler in their last names. www.whitepages.com/name/Barbara-Jo-Guerrero/Bonney-Lake-WA/2vc1fcs
You forgot to add all the traffic and the fifteen to an hr long drive sitting in traffic trying to get up 410. Born in enumclaw and raised in sumner we Moved out of my own home town because so many others moved in. It makes me sad to see how much it’s been ruined and built up. This video is so false and shows what it was like about 13years ago how there’s homeless and the rivers are trashed the traffic is out of control and there’s more crime. Why don’t you show what it’s really like?.

Whoever produced and edited this video did a very good job
We appreciate it!! Thanks for watching :)
I live here!! 😭❤️
It's a very nice town/city, but there's definitely no nightlife. There are two bars that are open as late as midnight on the weekends.
Is the spartain drive in still there?
No.

That's so cool! You might try searching her name on Google? "Barbara Jo Oyler Sumner Washington." Good luck, Pedro!
