Traffic engineers have known since at least the 1930s that the practice of "widening" or adding lanes worsens congestion rather than improving it. But enjoy having hundreds of millions of dollars in maintenance liabilities while enduring worse traffic. What a useful "investment"!

Ever hear of induced demand? How about providing more variety of options to travel. Improve cycling lanes so I can avoid getting decked by a Tahoe.

I can't tell if this is a 'one more lane bro' satire or not. Surely this can't be real

Is this a joke? Feels like I'm 6 and learning something in school, not from a government. I also agree with the comment about alternative options. But I guess FFX County is more interested in promoting less environmentally-friendly solutions instead of ways to improve the environment and its residents the options to be more active instead of sitting in cars.

If you really want to reduce congestion, make the new lanes "bus only" and add another multi-use path.

This is a terrible idea and flys in the face every study done on congestion in the past 50 years. I can't believe that the county got duped into wasting tax payer money on this.
Just want to emphasize the fact that you are flat out lying about the "benefits" of this project.

I wish the general public had the traffic data to make a more informed decision on this one.
