I live in Omaha. The tornado touched down west of the city and continued east through the cities of elkhorn and Blair. "We" consider those towns as part of omaha since we are so close together..give or take a 15min drive. Then another storm came and hit Omaha airport and traveled into Iowa. Hundreds if not thousands have loss everything.

It's just going to get worse as tge earth's energy imbalance is now quadruple what it was a little less than 2 decades ago. If you heat tge atmosphere it can hold larger amts of water vapor abd latent heat. Add to this the unstable jet stream and you have a receipe for disaster. It will be interesting to see what happens to FL and eastern seaboard as the hurricane season unfolds. Far more massive damage on the way.

It is FEMA that helps people and companies to find other places to set up again safely afterwards.

@whyareyousoangry7322 also, it's well known that Nebraska, which is located in the Great Plains(also known as tornado ally), has had tornadoes since the settlers first arrived. It's the flat and endless landscape that are conducive to the formation of tornadoes.
The great plains are where most of our food is grown. Why would the American government go all evil-scientist on the midwest?
